At Il Giardino, Sheila was amazed at how busy they were and told Deacon their chef could barely keep up with the demand. Sheila let Deacon know that she was informed of Brooke’s visit the day before. She didn’t like that Deacon hadn’t mentioned it and wondered why Brooke was there.
Deacon told Sheila she had nothing to worry about. “Do I look jealous?” Sheila wondered. “No, you look a little scary, and it’s a turn-on,” Deacon said. Deacon told Sheila that Brooke had come back to talk about Hope and that he was worried about his daughter.
Deacon sadly looked at pictures of Tom and Hollis as Sheila checked on some patrons. When she returned to the bar, she told him not to worry too much about Hope. Deacon lamented that Hope shouldn’t have kissed Finn because Steffy is her boss.
They discussed how Steffy was trying to pull the plug on HFTF out of spite against Hope. Sheila was sure Ridge wouldn’t let Steffy torpedo Brooke’s daughter’s line. Deacon and Sheila agreed that Steffy could be vengeful, but Sheila noted that Brooke would be looking for Hope. Deacon revealed that Carter was also in Hope’s corner. Sheila thought that as Carter was Ridge’s best friend, he should be TeamSteffy. Deacon just wanted Hope to be successful. Sheila assured Deacon that Hope would be fine and wouldn’t let anything get in her way.

Hope sat at the desk in the designers’ office, daydreaming about Carter reciting a long list of compliments about her at the Hope For The Future meeting. Brooke walked in and caught her daughter lost in thought with a smile on her face. Brooke noted she hadn’t seen Hope smiling at the office in a long time.
Hope told her mom she had something to smile about and was thinking about the possibilities for the future. Brooke admitted she talked to Deacon about Hope, her line, Steffy being so hard on Hope, and how Carter came to her rescue.
Brooke told Hope that Carter respected and cared about her, and Hope said she felt the same way about him. Hope didn’t want to put Carter in Steffy’s crosshairs but noted he was passionate at the meeting. Brooke said that Carter was COO and Ridge’s best friend and was in Hope’s corner, not Steffy’s.
Will came into the office with files for Hope and Brooke. They asked how the internship had been going so far. Will said it was challenging, but he was learning a lot. Brooke noted they were all happy to have him there, and Hope added that they could use all the Logan support they could get.
Hope retracted her comment and said she didn’t want to open that can of worms but noted there was tension. She drew a line between the Forresters and Logans. Will shared that Bill was okay with the internship — after Will admitted he was there for all the beautiful women. “I’m sure one of them will be thrilled to meet a handsome catch like you,” Hope said.
In the CEO’s office, Carter leafed through some papers and told Steffy he didn’t see HFTF on the agenda for their meeting. Steffy said she wasn’t sure what they would do about the line yet. Carter firmly told Steffy he already told her how he felt about cutting Hope’s line. Steffy wanted to know why Carter was lobbying so hard. Carter repeated that HFTF attracted younger customers who could become future haute couture clientele.
Steffy told Carter she might need to cut the line due to underperformance. Carter thought that would be a huge mistake and noted it would hurt Hope and her line. “Steffy, we talked about this,” Carter admonished. He said they needed to grow and expand, and it was not the time to pull back.
Steffy told Carter that Forrester couldn’t dedicate the same budget and attention to every line. Carter wanted Steffy to take the company beyond its couture roots. Steffy asked what Carter was suggesting. Carter’s face lit up as he told her, “We build a multifaceted luxury brand around the House of Forrester by way of mergers and acquisitions.”
Carter reminded Steffy that Eric had once folded Quinn’s jewelry company into Forrester, which was a huge success. Steffy said the line went away with Eric and Quinn’s divorce. Carter argued that it didn’t mean they had to be out of the jewelry business. Just then, he received a message on his phone. “There is someone here I want you to talk to,” Carter said. Steffy raised an eyebrow when he added that he had set up a meeting for her and told Steffy to have an open mind. Carter opened the office door. “Hello, Steffy,” Ivy said.
“This is why you wanted a meeting, to spring Ivy on me?” Steffy asked. Carter said he wanted to discuss business with all the players in the room, but Steffy felt ambushed. Steffy extended her sympathies to Ivy for the loss of her father but admitted she felt confused about why Ivy was there.
“Surely you’ve read about Ivy’s jewelry?” Carter asked, incredulous. Ivy quickly explained that Quinn had taught her everything she knew about jewelry design. She hoped to talk to Steffy about returning to Forrester and picking up where Quinn left off. “Bringing Ivy back would be a full circle move for us and a boom for the company,” Carter said. Ivy assured Steffy they hadn’t talked to Eric and came to Steffy first.
Ivy told Steffy she didn’t need an office, just an opportunity. Carter continued to pressure Steffy to decide on the spot. Steffy said she was shocked that Ivy was there and wished that Carter had come to her first. While they continued to pressure her, Steffy told Carter she did not appreciate that he set up a meeting for her with a family member. Carter said the only thing that mattered was whether or not it would benefit Forrester to have Ivy there, and he was confident that it would.
Steffy noted that she and Ivy had long-standing issues. Steffy wasn’t sure if she could work with someone she didn’t trust. “There’s too much family drama here, guys. We need to run Forrester like a business,” Carter scolded. Ivy told Steffy she could start tomorrow but needed to let them know she hadn’t come alone and that she had brought someone to help her with the line.
Ivy opened the door and brought in her niece, Electra. Steffy was shocked and told Electra how grown up and beautiful she was. Steffy introduced Electra after hugging her. “Carter, this is Ivy. Ivy, Carter is our COO…for now,” Steffy said. Ivy noted that, like Steffy, she believed in the company and the strength of the family. “Can’t we just move forward? I really think we could accomplish amazing things together,” Ivy said. Electra looked hopeful as Steffy was put on the spot.
Carter and Ivy continued to tag team Steffy with reasons why she should hire Ivy. Steffy told them she felt steamrolled, noting that Ivy was pitching a line out of nowhere. Steffy gave a heartfelt sigh when Electra added that her late Grandpa John would want them working together.
Electra told Steffy how much she looked up to her and even wrote a report at school about Steffy. “I was so proud to write about you as a CEO and your place in the fashion industry,” Electra said. Steffy recalled writing a report about her grandmother, Stephanie. “Your family has a history of strong women coming together,” Carter said.
Ivy told Steffy she and Electra hoped they would have a reason to stay. “This could be the first step, Steffy. We could take this company beyond anything we’ve ever dreamed of. Stop threatening to cut HFTF and look for a place where we could expand and grow this company. Say yes to Ivy. Say yes to the jewelry line,” Carter told Steffy firmly.
