At the cliff house, Taylor was urging Steffy to take the kids and move into the Forrester mansion as Ridge walked in and overheard. Steffy shared that Finn was Luna’s father. She explained how Finn was too young and inexperienced to do anything but take Poppy’s word that he hadn’t gotten her pregnant. “Apparently, there was a long list of candidates,” Steffy noted disparagingly. Steffy defended Finn and said Li was going to lose it when she found out. Ridge noted that Finn brought two psychos into Steffy’s life. Taylor agreed and reiterated that Steffy and the kids were in danger.
Taylor reminded Steffy that Finn had argued to have a relationship with Sheila when he found out she was his mother. Taylor said Steffy knew Finn well enough to know that he would do it again with Luna. Taylor got upset at the thought that Steffy could be hurt, and said she couldn’t go through the pain of losing another child. Ridge agreed with Taylor. Steffy told them that she wouldn’t leave Finn and noted that Luna wasn’t a threat as she was in prison for the rest of her life.
At the Spencer mansion, Luna was stunned at the revelation that Finn was her father. Finn explained that he and Poppy had hooked up just once, and it wasn’t something he was proud of. He told Luna the sordid love story tale of him and Poppy. Luna was seething as it was another complaint she could put on Poppy’s list of character flaws. Luna lamented how different their lives could have been if Poppy had told the truth.
Finn explained how Li suspected Jack was Luna’s father, and then the DNA tests happened, and Poppy stuck to her story until she had no choice but to tell the truth. Finn lamented to Luna how he could have been her dad and figured it out how to balance school with a baby, and that he would have been the perfect father for her and changed her life. Luna was crying happy tears that all her dreams came true, finding out who her father was, and he was saying all the things that she had longed to hear her whole life.
In the design office, Zende asked Daphne if she had time to talk about a tailor-made fragrance for Hope for the Future, but she said she didn’t as she was packing up. Zende was shocked that Daphne was leaving, especially so soon.
Zende reminded Daphne that Steffy had brought her there to do a certain job and asked if her sudden departure had something to do with Carter.
In the CEO’s office, Hope told Carter he seemed distracted and asked with a little bit of a tone what Daphne had to say as she picked up her choker ribbon from the table. She mentioned that the fragrance on the ribbon, and Daphne, were quite irresistible and asked Carter if he agreed.
Carter said the alluring fragrances were why they hired Daphne. Hope reminded him that Daphne was touted as a woman that no man could resist. Carter admitted there was something she should know: Daphne was going back to Paris. Hope faked her response and sarcastically said that L.A. wasn’t for everyone. Carter agreed but needed to explain why she was leaving.
Carter held Hope and told her how supportive and good she had been to him and that he never wanted to hurt her. He told her that he wanted to be different. He promised to never hide anything from her like other men had in her past. Carter told Hope that the reason Daphne was returning to Paris was because she had kissed him. “I know. I saw. I saw everything,” Hope revealed.
