The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Tuesday, January 7, 2025: Carter and Hope meet Daphne Rose

At the Forrester mansion, Taylor, Eric, Ridge, and Steffy gathered to discuss their predicament. Steffy suggested that she return to work to ensure that Carter and Hope don’t wreck the place, and she didn’t want them and Brooke taking credit for Eric’s legacy. Eric appreciated how dedicated Steffy was to the company. Ridge thought she should let the lawyers deal with it.

Steffy reminded them that Carter said they were welcome to return any time, but Ridge thought that was just for show. Steffy thought going the legal route would take years, and in the meantime, Carter and Hope could do irreparable damage. Steffy insisted she was capable of going to work with a smile on her face. She said she would be cordial and tell them she was just there to protect her assets, but really, she would stab them in the heart for their betrayal. “And I know exactly how to do it,” Steffy added.

Steffy reminded everyone how Carter was their friend and what he did was completely out of character. “God knows what kind of plans they’re making with our lifeblood,” Eric muttered. Steffy said she couldn’t believe Carter had the audacity to lecture her about personal relationships affecting business decisions when he was hooking up with Hope. She said Carter and Hope stole from them, and they should be in jail. Everyone agreed that they broke the law and their trust, which was worse. Steffy divulged that she had a plan to take them down. She said she was going to undermine Carter and Hope — “but in a creative way.”

At Bill’s mansion, Luna was able to come out of hiding after Will and Electra left. She assured Bill that she was going to abide by his rules and was grateful to be in his care. Luna told Bill that she felt bad about what she did to Tom and Hollis, but she also apologized for how she had behaved with Bill before she’d gone to prison as well. Bill noted she was talking about when she tried kissing him. He said that she was confused at the time and that she didn’t really want a romantic relationship with him any more than he did with her. He told Luna that he felt like she was a daughter to him.

Bill reiterated that her being at his house had to remain a secret so that she could have a life one day. Bill said he wanted to help her more by taking her under his wing and helping her fly. He said he wanted to give her the opportunities no one had given him. “I could’ve easily been in your shoes,” Bill explained. He said if not for some luck and smarts, he could have wound up behind bars, and now he wanted to help someone else in a similar situation. “And that someone is you,” he told her.

Luna assured Bill that she had lost all of her control, but it was an out-of-body experience, and it wasn’t who she was. Bill said he had been there and could relate. Luna thanked him again for letting her serve her sentence at his mansion and wanting nothing in return. Bill said he didn’t want favors, but he had expectations of her to follow the rules. Bill needed to go to the office and left Luna alone with her ankle bracelet. Once alone, Luna gazed at a photo of Will on the mantle and smiled.

While meeting with Fanny Greyson about her fragrances, Carter and Hope were surprised to be told that the world-famous Daphne Rose perfumer was there to speak with them. As they awaited her arrival in the CEO’s office, they wondered what it was about. In the hall, Fanny was shocked to see Daphne breeze by.

Daphne came into the CEO’s office and abruptly told Carter and Hope that her time was limited and she didn’t make appointments. They gushed about what an honor it was to be in her presence, and she lapped it up as though it was expected behavior. When they asked why she was there, she said she was there to help them.

Hope asked if she brought samples but Daphne said nothing as she slowly removed the scarf around her neck and waved it in front of them. Carter and Hope became mesmerized by the scent of her perfume infusing in the air around them. “Oh my god, that scent is enchanting!” Hope gushed. They asked what it was called, and Daphne said it was “Forrester.” Carter murmured, “That’s beautiful,” as he gazed at Daphne and their eyes locked. “N’est-ce pas?” Daphne responded softly. She breezed by Carter and Hope and told them she’d be in town for a few days. In the hall, she told Fanny to pack her bag, and she had landed the account.

In the CEO’s office, Carter and Hope were incredulous about their experience with Daphne Rose. Hope noted that she didn’t leave any samples, but they noted she had called the fragrance “Forrester.” Fanny returned, and they apologized for interrupting her presentation to take another meeting. Fanny insisted it was not a problem and was in just as much awe that the premiere nose of Paris had been there to see them. She agreed that the scent was amazing and advised that if they had the chance to work with Daphne Rose, they should take it. Carter said it must have been their lucky day to have Daphne Rose show up on their doorstep.

In the design office, Electra and Will returned to recap their day again. Electra was still on cloud nine about how Will had come to her rescue. She said she was looking forward to getting to know his dad better, and Will said he was, too.

At home, Steffy suddenly caught a whiff of a scent and stopped in her tracks as she inhaled. She turned and saw Daphne Rose in her living room. Excitedly, the friends sat to talk, and Steffy thanked her for coming by. “Anything for you,” Daphne smiled. Steffy asked how the meeting went, and Daphne assured her she had landed the Forrester gig, although it wasn’t official yet. Steffy asked if Daphne thought Carter was handsome and if she met Hope as well. “Think you can get the job done? No man can resist you in Paris, but what about Carter Walton?” Steffy asked. Daphne Rose smiled. “No problem,” she cooed, “He will be putty in my hands.”
