The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Tuesday, January 21: Liam and Li want answers 

At the cliff house, Steffy invited Finn to meet her at home so they could spend some quality time alone together. Steffy told Finn she wasn’t unemployed anymore and was back at Forrester Creations. She explained it was part of her plan to get the company back from Hope and Carter.

Finn thought that the less he knew about the plan, the better, but Steffy shared that she was putting up with Hope for the bigger picture. Finn said the good thing about all of it was that her parents were back together. Steffy agreed she wouldn’t have chosen the takeover but was grateful it caused Ridge to open his eyes about Brooke and get back together with Taylor.

Steffy thanked Finn for his unwavering support, noting that Ridge wasn’t like that growing up, as he was always bouncing back and forth between two women. She noted that it didn’t take a psychiatrist to see why she repeated this behavior by falling for Liam. Steffy was grateful for Finn's support of everything in her life, including family drama.

Finn noted that Steffy was lucky that her parents found their way back. Steffy wondered if Finn’s parents would be able to reunite one day. Finn thought that ship had sailed. He said he saw both sides, noting that Li held grudges but understood her feelings because of Jack’s affair.

Finn said he respected his dad but he did his mom wrong. Finn didn’t think Jack could hurt his mom more than the lie he’d told about how Finn was born.

In Li’s office, Li continued to accuse her sister of having an affair with her husband, Jack. Poppy insisted that she would never betray Li like that, but Li told her she learned her lesson. She recalled how she never thought Jack was a cheater until she found out differently. “You knew all along that my ex-husband is Luna’s father. Not Bill. Not Tom. That’s why you wanted to keep it a secret because Luna’s father is Jack!” Li snapped.

Li told Poppy it was time to admit she lied. She recounted how all those years ago, Li worked at the hospital and Poppy was spending time alone with Jack at the house. Poppy was sleeping on the couch back then, but Li assumed it was to just throw her off that Jack and Poppy were sleeping together. She reminded Poppy how she had thrown away her opportunity to work at the hospital gift shop, but Poppy laughed and said that it was hardly a dream job. Li continued sneering about Poppy’s life choices.

As Li demanded that Poppy admit to Li’s accusations, Jack walked in. He said hello to Poppy with a smile, but Li snapped at him to “cut the crap.” “I know all about your dirty little secret,” Li growled. Confused, Jack looked at Poppy, who seemed to be trying to give eye signals to him.

Jack said he didn’t know what Li was talking about. Li said she listened to her intuition, and they had betrayed her in the worst way. Jack apologized again for his affair with Sheila. Li cried at all the damage Sheila had done since that discovery. “The thing is, I would take that betrayal over this one any day,” Li cried. Jack was sorry that she was hurt and didn’t know how he could betray her more than he had. Li told him she knew he had betrayed her with her own sister.

Jack said Li was paranoid and he didn’t want any part of it. He told Poppy he felt bad that Li was always so hard on her. Li said it made her sick to hear him defend her sister. Poppy started tell Jack that not only did Li think they had an affair, but she also thinks he fathered Luna, but Li stopped her from finishing the sentence. “I want to hear him say it,” Li barked. Jack had no idea what she was talking about.

Li explained she did a DNA test and that “the washed up rock star wasn’t Luna’s father.” Jack shrugged. She asked him if he had any idea who Luna’s father was. Li called Jack and Poppy compulsive liars. She yelled at Poppy and Jack, telling them that her sweet little sister and her devoted husband had betrayed her in the worst possible way. “Your perverted relationship created another love child for you. Luna! You’re Luna’s father!” Li cried.

At Bill’s house, Luna and Bill hung out in the living room, but Liam knocked on the door. Luckily, the front door was locked, but they scrambled for Luna to hide, and Bill had to compose himself before opening it.

Liam knocked and called out for Bill until he answered the door. When he came in, he wanted to know why the door was locked. “Is something going on? Is everything okay?” Liam asked. Liam thought Bill’s whole demeanor was off. Liam was questioning him, and Bill wasn’t even yelling about it. “You’re being respectful,” Liam said suspiciously.

Bill said he was just working remotely, which showed he had confidence in Liam within the company. Liam knew Bill loved being in the hustle and bustle of business. “So I’m asking you: Is everything okay?” Liam told his dad he was concerned that he was becoming a hermit.

Bill told Liam he was secure enough to admit that sometimes even Dollar Bill wanted a little “me time.” Liam accused him of talking weirdly again and asked if he was in some sort of trouble and needed his help. Bill said he was fine and had everything under control. “Have WHAT under control?” Liam asked.

Bill denied that he had a situation to deal with. He told Liam he appreciated the wellness check but said he was misreading what was going on. Bill tried to tell his son that he realized there were more things to focus on than work. Liam sighed heavily and guessed that Bill was dealing with what Luna did to him.
