The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Thursday, January 29, 2025: Finn gets answers from Poppy

At the Spencer mansion, Luna thanked Bill again for rescuing her from prison and said he was the dad she wished she had. Bill told Luna he empathized with her because he saw his younger self in her. Bill agreed they had similar upbringings thanks to their unstable mothers.

Luna thought letting the pain and trauma that Poppy caused was making her feel better. She encouraged Bill to open up to her about his childhood as well. Luna said they understood one another and thought she could help.

Bill shared that he had done plenty of stupid things in his life. He said that Luna had turned over a new leaf. She assured him that was because of him and wanted to do the same for him. Bill said that when he met Poppy, he thought she was great on the surface, but he also sensed that there was something off, and that was probably why he never called her after their one-night stand. “Because that wrong part was the similarities she shared with my mother,” Bill confided.

Bill admitted he was taken with Poppy, so he ignored his instincts about her. Luna said her mom had a way of charming people into believing she was a good person. He compared Poppy to his mom and Luna said she must have also been a compulsive liar then.

At the cliff house, Daphne Rose came to see Steffy. They reiterated their plan, and Daphne noted that she was getting a new fragrance line out of the deal, but she was doing it for Steffy, not Carter and Hope. Ridge walked in and asked what was going on.

Daphne was heading to Forrester. Ridge told her he appreciated her loyalty but noted that he knew the overall plan. Daphne guaranteed that Operation Carter Walton would be successful.

Ridge told Daphne and Steffy to keep it clean, but they told him they might need to get dirty. Steffy said the gloves were off, and they’d do what they had to. Daphne said she had to go as Carter was expecting her.

Once alone, Steffy told Ridge that Daphne was their ticket to regaining control of the company. She was confident Daphne could charm the pants off of Carter. Steffy said Daphne was the most desirable woman in France. Ridge agreed there was something about her. Steffy was certain Carter would give in to Daphne’s charms, Hope’s heart would be broken, and their coup would crumble.

In the CEO’s office, Carter and Hope kissed. She thanked him for restoring her life when it had all fallen apart. She never thought she could step foot in the building again, but HFTF was back, her mom was CEO, and everything was on track.

Carter noted it was Hope’s idea from the start and appreciated her support. Hope said that eveyrone made a mistake not taking her seriously. Carter lamented that he didn’t foresee ever building the company without Ridge. Hope advised that Ridge and Eric weren’t willing to take a leap and stay relevant as Carter did. She told him that she had a feeling that the fragrance line was going to make an impact. “More than we even know,” Hope mused.

Hope gushed about how he loved everything about Daphne and Carter teased Hope for fangirling. Hope said she had magnetic energy. Carter said Hope had that same effect when she walked into a room. Hope told him to admit that he found Daphne captivating.

Carter and Hope were suddenly overtaken by a hypnotic fragrance and inhaled deeply a moment before Daphne walked in. Carter breathed a sigh with a smile when he saw Daphne.

At the hospital, Finn asked Poppy to be honest and tell him if Luna was his daughter. He questioned if there were other guys or if it was just her. Poppy asked him to stop asking. Finn asked if there were others she had been with who could be Luna’s father.

Finn told Poppy he had a right to know and deserved the truth. Poppy said that she cared and still did care about Finn, and it hurt her that he was accusing her. Finn agreed it was only one time but needed to know the truth. He asked if she did or did not think that Tom Starr was Luna’s father. Poppy didn’t want to have the conversation and couldn’t look at him.

Finn reminded Poppy she would be honest all those years ago and needed her to be again. He asked if she wanted to put an end to the wonder and stress. He asked if there was some other guy and if she’d reach out to him. Poppy said no, and told him that Luna was in prison and her future was over. “I tried to raise a good girl, but it was so hard,” Poppy cried. She didn’t know why the truth mattered anymore. Finn told her he needed to know. Poppy told Finn she meant it back then and she meant it now: he was not the father of Luna.
