In Finn’s office, he yelled at Poppy that she deprived him and Luna of having a relationship. Poppy said it wasn’t a lie that she didn’t want to burden him with a child at his age. Finn didn’t believe her and said that the only reason she kept the secret was because she didn’t want people to find out what they did. “I have a daughter that you kept from me. You lied to me, Poppy. You lied,” Finn growled.
Poppy said the father could have been him, Bill, Tom, or even someone else and swore she didn’t know, so there was nothing to tell. Finn said they could have done a test back then. “Maybe I was wrong,” Poppy cried. “Maybe? Maybe?!” Finn bellowed. He blasted her for doing what was best for her and not for him or Luna.
“Look at what our daughter became!” Finn screamed. He said that Poppy shut him out and denied access without him involved. “You raised a murderer!!” Finn exploded. He told Poppy that he could have helped Luna, and none of it would have happened if he had been there for her. Poppy cried that he was so young and the time she hadn’t wanted to upend his life. “What, so I was 18. Yeah, whatever,” Finn scoffed. He said he still deserved to know that he had a daughter. “What kind of man do you think I am?” Finn asked her.
Finn told Poppy that he would have wanted to know that he had a daughter and would have wanted to help raise her. “The kind of man you are now, sure, but back then, Finn, it wouldn’t have been fair,” Poppy said. Finn argued he had a right to know, but Poppy snapped, saying she did it for him. “For me. For me. That is the most horrible, awful thing a person can do: keep a child and parent apart. My god the destruction you have left behind. I could have changed her life for the better if I was given the chance,” Finn told her. Finn told Poppy that she betrayed him in the most horrible way and it changed everything.

Poppy insisted that Finn stayed silent. She reminded him how Steffy and Li would react if they found out. “Nothing good comes from saying anything,” Poppy told him. She said it wasn’t like he could have a relationship with Luna now anyway, and begged him to keep it a secret. “No one can know that Luna is your daughter,” Poppy implored.
At the Spencer mansion, Electra listened to Will tell her about Luna and how the whole story unfolded. Will mentioned that Luna was in prison, “where she belongs,” and Luna eavesdropped with a smirk.
Luna smiled every time Will said her name. Electra asked what his first impressions were of Luna. Will thought when he met Luna that she seemed nice and was pretty. Luna beamed, even though he said it didn’t matter since she was behind bars for the rest of her life.
Will added that Luna killed two men and kidnapped Steffy. Electra thought the story was insane. Will reiterated that Luna got caught and would be in prison for the rest of her life. Electra wanted to know more, but Will said it was pointless to discuss it since they would never see Luna again.
At the Forrester mansion, Taylor and Ridge were canoodling on the couch when Steffy walked in. They asked how work was going, and Steffy told them she was playing nice with the traitors. She said Operation Carter Walton was still in motion, but she’d add some tactics. “It’s so frustrating. I don’t know how Carter sleeps at night,” Steffy said. She told them she had to believe that somewhere deep down, Carter knew what he did was wrong.
Steffy still couldn’t believe that Carter had allowed himself to be so manipulated by Hope. Steffy assured her parents that she hadn’t forgiven Carter but wondered if he had forgiven himself. “Knowing Carter, this has to be weighing on him,” Steffy added. Ridge wondered what she was thinking.
Taylor agreed that the man Carter used to be didn’t just go away and is probably inside of him somewhere. Steffy said that Carter turned against his best friend, and it was probably eating away at him. Ridge asked if Steffy was thinking Carter’s conscience would get the better of him and he’d just give the company back.
Steffy believed that Carter was unrecognizable but believed he was doing some soul-searching. Ridge wanted to think she was right, but he lost faith in Carter. Taylor agreed they couldn’t count on Carter to find his moral compass too quickly. “He’s totally lost in Hope’s world at the moment,” Taylor added.
Steffy said she was hopeful his conscience would help him remember his values or she would help him remember who Hope really was. Either way, Steffy was moving forward with her plan to get Carter and Hope out of Forrester.
In the CEO’s office, Brooke brought Carter some files and listened to him on a business call. “You’re getting pretty comfortable there behind that desk,” she opined. Carter told Brooke that since the jewelry and fragrance line were in place, it was time to expand further.
Brooke noted that leather was next on the list. She said she was impressed that he was making his vision come alive. Carter wished that Ridge could have seen the possibilities and been a part of it. Brooke wondered if Carter had any regrets. “Ridge was your best friend. Was it worth it? I have to wonder. How do you really feel about taking over Forrester Creations?” Brooke asked.
Carter patted himself on the back and asked why he’d have regrets. Brooke said there was a human element to it, and he took the company away from people who considered him family. Carter said he felt bad that the Forresters couldn’t see his vision, and he felt terrible that Steffy’s hatred for all things Logan clouded her judgment. He asked if Brooke needed reminding why he and Hope felt like they had no choice but to take over the company.
Brooke said she remembered that they felt it was necessary. Carter wondered if she didn’t agree now that Hope had her line back. Brooke said it was a coup and they should call it what it was. Brooke admitted that although she was CEO, she wondered if she had sacrificed too much.
Brooke reminded Carter how much she loved Ridge and said that she missed him. Carter asked if Brooke had regrets and wished she’d turned down his offer as CEO. Brooke said she didn’t but insisted that Carter must be feeling something. She told him how the Forresters built the company and that it was because of Eric’s genius. “I’m not denying that,” Carter said. “Then how can you live with yourself, knowing that you stole the company from them?” Brooke asked.
Carter told Brooke he never wanted the takeover to go down the way that it did but insisted if Ridge and Steffy had listened to him, it wouldn’t have happened. “They did listen, and after careful consideration, they turned you down. It was their choice to make,” Brooke told him. “They cut Hope for the Future! Was there careful consideration then?” Carter asked. He said it was a personal decision that wasn’t based on facts or figures. “They fired your daughter and kicked her out of the building,” Carter added.
Brooke agreed that it was wrong the way they fired Hope but told Carter that what he and Hope did and what the company was becoming was wrong as well. “And deep down, I think you know that,” Brooke added.
