At the cabin, Hope told Steffy that she and Carter saw that Steffy was destroying the company, and they both did something to stop it. Steffy reiterated that Hope and Carter were out, permanently, from Forrester Creations.
Hope lectured Steffy about how she was wrong when she found Hope in lingerie on top of Finn. “I was waiting for Carter,” Hope said triumphantly.
Steffy asked why Hope didn’t just tell the truth and save herself a lot of trouble. Hope claimed that Steffy would have turned on Carter if she knew they were involved. She said Steffy should have just taken her word for it that it was a misunderstanding. Hope told Steffy that she and Carter didn’t want to take over the company, but she left them no choice. “Are you really trying to justify a coup at the company?” Steffy asked.
Steffy reminded Hope that her line was sucking the company dry and that she and Carter had gone over the figures together on many occasions. “He wanted to cut your line, just like me. You were in the meetings. Carter was armed to the teeth with facts that you didn’t like, and suddenly, he’s your biggest fan? You two are sleeping together. Wow, you must have done a real number on him,” Steffy said.

Steffy told Hope that she and Carter worked together closely and she trusted him and his morals but thought he would be immune to a woman like Hope. “He not only betrayed my father, but he betrayed me, too,” Steffy added.
Hope reiterated that Steffy was ruining the company. Steffy corrected her and said that just because Hope’s line was failing didn’t mean the whole company was. “Well, it’s certainly heading tin hat direction with your poor leadership,” Hope scoffed.
Steffy didn’t believe that the takeover was about saving the company. She said that it was all for Hope and yelled that Carter had lost his job and destroyed his reputation for her, questioning if she even cared about him. “You manipulated him!” Steffy said. Hope laughed that she and Carter both thought that Steffy was a poor leader.
Hope asked how they respected Carter if they constantly diminished his ideas. Steffy said she could see now that Hope convinced him otherwise. “We helped build your family dynasty,” Hope said. “And now you want a bigger slice of the pie,” Steffy retorted. She said that all Hope and Brooke do is lure in men and ruin them. “Congratulations, Hope, you’re just like your mother,” Steffy told her.
At the CEO’s office, Taylor came looking for Steffy but found Ridge upset. He shared Carter’s betrayal with Taylor, who was shocked. Ridge said Carter did it because of Hope.
Ridge explained that Carter was seeking justice for the woman he loved. Taylor realized Carter and Hope were a couple. Ridge said that Brooke knew they were secretly together but not that they were colluding.
Ridge told Taylor how Hope got into Carter’s head to champion for her and it changed who he was, and he betrayed everyone and lost everything for her. Ridge reiterated that everything was Hope’s fault.
Brooke interrupted and was upset that Ridge was vilifying her daughter. Ridge insisted that Carter wouldn’t have done this on his own. Taylor said lust made people do things they wouldn’t normally do. Brooke acknowledged it was hard to accept but that Carter is the one who did it. “Something happened to him,” Ridge insisted. Brooke agreed that Hope had a hand in it but he couldn’t blame her completely. Brooke got upset and told Ridge not to let Taylor and Steffy pit them against each other over Hope.
In the design office, Brooke recalled how Ridge tried to offer forgiveness to Carter, but he didn’t want to turn on Hope. Katie came in, and Brooke told her that Carter and Hope were involved.
Brooke explained that it might be hard for Katie to hear, but Carter and Hope were serious. Katie said it was a bit of a shock but not upset. Brooke added that Carter no longer works at Forrester as he had tried to seize control of the company.
Katie thought the coup was crazy, especially as Carter was as loyal as they come. Katie thought that Steffy must know by now that she was wrong to fire Hope. Brooke shared that Ridge was now listening to Steffy and blaming Hope for Carter’s betrayal.
Katie thought it was ridiculous that Ridge thought Hope was corrupting Carter. Katie and Brooke agreed that Carter wouldn’t have put his career on his line unless he thought it was necessary. Brooke was worried about how Ridge was talking about Hope, but she knew she couldn’t defend Hope's actions, either. Katie hoped it wouldn’t come between Brooke and Ridge.
At Il Giardino, Electra was excited that Remy was working at her favorite restaurant. “You better get used to seeing me all the time,” Electra said with a smile. Will didn’t look as enthused. Remy told Electra he loved talking to her, and it made him feel like they were back home.
After Remy went back to work, Electra shared her enthusiasm with Will and hoped he would get to know him better. From across the restaurant, Remy stared at Electra.
Electra told Will that she and Remy worked at a movie theater and Remy would sneak in their friends sometimes. She said they were really close, but only ever just friends. Will said he wasn’t jealous and Electra assured him she was with the man she wanted to be with. Remy glared as they held hands.
Remy was beside himself, watching Electra and Will kiss at their table. He got emotional and upset from the other side of the restaurant.
