Steffy drops by the Forrester mansion to see her parents. She found it heartwarming to see Ridge and Taylor together but couldn’t help but think of Finn and his parents — and everything they’d been through. Steffy didn’t think Finn’s parents would be reuniting, but Ridge and Taylor reminded Steffy that every relationship was salvageable. Steffy agreed and said they were living proof that anything was possible.
Ridge recalled how Jack lied about an affair with Sheila, and they raised Finn without anyone knowing he was his biological father or that Sheila was his biological mother. Taylor wondered how Li would have reacted to the truth if Jack had admitted his infidelity back then. Steffy didn’t think Li would ever forgive Jack now after all that had happened.
Taylor pointed out that Li had always been lovely to her but understood what Steffy meant about her tension. Steffy knew why Li was mad at Jack but couldn’t understand why Li was so harsh towards Poppy. “Although, given how Luna turned out, maybe Li knows something about Poppy that we don’t,” Steffy mused.
Ridge and Taylor thought Steffy was very sweet for being so concerned about Finn’s parents and wanting them to be happy, too. When they asked Steffy about her and Finn's wedding anniversary, she said they were just planning on celebrating at home.

Jack and Poppy were at the bar at Il Giardino, having a drink as they recalled everything they just went through. Jack said he had no idea all those years that Li thought they’d had an affair. Jack drank as Poppy looked like she had something else on her mind. “The woman stabbed me in my arm…twice,” Jack said. Poppy wished Li had something back then instead of spending years treating her like he wasn’t worthy. Jack was surprised Poppy even still spoke Li given her attitude towards her.
Sheila interrupted their conversation. She implied that she was surprised to see them both there and said she didn’t know they were together. Poppy and Jack told Sheila they were not together, never had been, and it was a touchy subject. Sheila asked, hopefully, if Finn was going to be joining them. Jack gruffly told her he was not; if he was, he would have called ahead and ensured it was her day off.
Jack dismissed Sheila so he and Poppy could continue their private conversation. Sheila asked Jack to tell Finn how much she missed him. She recounted how she missed out on raising him, and now she was missing out on being a grandmother, too. “Because you manipulated me into giving Finn up to save your precious marriage to Li. How’d that end up for you at the end of the day, Jack?” Sheila added. Sheila left, and Jack noted how gutted Li was when she found out the truth. Jack realized that it was hard enough knowing about Sheila, but Li was also holding onto the feelings of resentment and pain all those years, thinking he and Poppy had an affair.
Poppy thought Li’s ugly comments and judgment over the years was a lot to process as it was all based on a misunderstanding. Jack told Poppy that he knew what a loyal and supportive sister she was to Li, especially back when she was living with them. “I remember how you stepped up, how remarkable you were to all of us,” Jack recalled fondly.
Finn came into Li’s office and found her crying. She had been remembering about her accusations towards Jack and Poppy, the DNA test, and how she apologized to Poppy for treating them so horribly over the years. Finn asked what was wrong, and Li told him it was all the secrets.
Li explained that when he was in college or finishing high school, Poppy was struggling. Li had invited her to stay with them and keep an eye on Finn; Finn said he remembered that era. Li admitted she thought that Poppy had stabbed her in the back. “I was certain your father was having an affair with my sister,” Li told Finn.
Li told Finn she had never voiced her suspicions, which was why she was so mean to Poppy. Li wanted the best for Poppy, but she had resentment and rage for years towards her sister. They remembered how Li was doing 24-hour shifts at the hospital. Poppy had moved in, helped around the house, made some meals, and helped Finn with his homework. Finn wished Li had talked to him about it so he could have set her straight that there was no way anything was going on with Poppy and Jack.
Li explained that she had confronted Jack and Poppy about it and realized she couldn’t have been more wrong. She didn’t understand as she always trusted her instincts, and her intuition was screaming at her that Poppy was hiding something. Finn wondered what proved it to her, and Li told Finn about the paternity tests on Tom’s liver and on Jack. Li admitted she tricked Jack into coming to the hospital by sending him an urgent message to get him to take the test. She added that he was so sweet since their break up, wanting to reconcile, and she was so cold. “I was wrong about Jack and Penelope both,” Li shared.
Finn comforted his mom for having so many hard feelings for so many years. Li said it just made sense to her back then, but she was wrong. She told Finn that she apologized to Jack and Poppy and felt awful. Li wasn’t sure if Poppy would forgive her. Li mused that they might never know who Luna’s father was. Finn’s expression changed to alarm as Li noted she was just grateful it wasn’t Jack. “I can finally let that go. But we’re still left with the mystery. Luna’s father. That man exists somewhere. Who is he? Who’s Luna’s father?” Li wondered aloud as Finn looked concerned.
