Finn locked the door to his office before opening the DNA kit. He wondered if Poppy was telling him the truth and if Luna was his daughter. He performed the test, and then told himself he needed the truth while he waited for the results.

Finn recalled all his moments with Poppy about Luna’s paternity and Luna when she kidnapped Steffy. His own words haunted him, and he got very upset thinking about when he told Poppy he needed to know the truth. Finn slowly raised the test and held it up. There were two solid blue lines. “It’s positive,” Finn said out loud before sinking to his chair and sobbing. “Poppy lied to me. I’ts me. I’m the father. Luna’s my daughter,” he said in shock.

At the prison, Poppy explained that she was there to see her daughter, Luna, but was told she wasn’t there. Poppy got upset and wanted to know where her Luna was if she wasn’t in jail. She asked if she had been transferred since the warden confirmed Luna was still in the system as an inmate, just not one at that jail. No matter how many times Poppy asked, she couldn’t get a straight answer. Finally, the warden told her that he wasn’t at liberty to say where Luna was and walked out.

At the Spencer mansion, Luna cried to Bill about how she gets overwhelmed thinking about how grateful she was that he took her in and saved her life. She cried about what she did to Tom and Hollis, and Steffy as well.

Bill noted that Luna never spoke about what she did to Steffy and wondered if she had remorse. Luna cried how Steffy had begged her to let her go, and to think of her kids. She admitted she didn’t at the time but had thought about it ever since. Luna said she didn’t care about ruining Finn’s life back then and added that he was the only one in the family who ever cared about her.

Luna shared with Bill how supportive Steffy had been at work, and as a relative, when she confronted her, she panicked. Desperate to keep her cover, nothing mattered at that moment, including Finn and Steffy’s son and what it would have done to her children if Luna had killed their mom.

Luna said that she hadn’t seen Finn much over the years while growing up, but she knew that he cared. She couldn’t depend on anyone in her family except for Finn, and she knew she destroyed that by hurting Steffy. She knew that if she saw Finn again, he would never look at her the same.

In the design office, Hope started squabbling over nothing, accusing Steffy of not liking that Carter was in charge and that Zende had more right to be there than Hope because he was a Forrester. Steffy sighed and reminded Hope that it wasn’t what she said at all. Hope retorted it was what Steffy wanted her to hear. Steffy told Hope this arrangement wasn’t going to work if she read into everything she said.

Hope lectured Steffy about how they treat everyone in the office equally now, regardless of their surname. “Even me?” Steffy quipped. Hope said yes but noted that she and her family had been under the Forrester’s thumbs for years, and times had changed because of Carter.

Hope told Steffy she could look at it like Carter robbed the Forresters of the company they created, or they could focus on what he’s doing to improve Forrester Creations. Hope kept harping on Steffy about being angry about leadership, but Steffy pointed out that she was part of leadership. She also noted that she was entitled to have an opinion. “You’re so angry,” Hope taunted. “Damn right, I am,” Steffy grimaced. “Well, then, what are you even doing here?” Hope wondered.

Steffy said she wasn’t unsupportive of some of the changes. “But I don’t like standing in this office having conversations like this,” she noted. Hope kept on about Steffy’s audacity of having an opinion about the takeover, so Steffy explained how they’d robbed Eric of the company he had built from the ground up. Hope didn’t respond to that and went back to questioning Steffy’s motivation for being there.

Steffy told Hope that power made her paranoid, but Hope felt she would be a fool not to be wary. She said she wasn’t giving up until she got a real answer. Hope wanted to know the real reason Steffy took the job.

In the CEO’s office, Daphne Rose and Carter stood close together as she cooed to him breathlessly that they spoke a silent language between them. She asked in French if he understood what she was saying, and he said, “Oui.”

Carter told Daphne that her appeal and how she captured his attention was more than alluring. “I’m alluring?” she asked coyly. Carter tripped over his words about wanting to get her products to market as soon as possible. Everything they said was dripping with innuendo as Daphne continued to be touchy-feely, and Carter didn’t pull away.

Carter offered to show Daphne what he had in mind for her fragrances, allowing her to compliment him as she gazed at him in awe. Carter was mesmerized.

Carter couldn’t take his eyes off her and agreed they were very compatible. He said her fragrance was very powerful. Daphne asked if he could get lost in a woman who was wearing it. Carter seemed surprised, as though she’d spoken his thoughts.
