Steffy continued to freak out as Liam flatlined, and Grace announced that his pupils were dilated. Grace told Steffy she needed to get Liam into an OR right away to stop the bleeding in his brain. After doing chest compressions, Liam was rushed into surgery as Steffy panicked.

"LIma, keep fighting. Keep fighting. Don't give up," she begged. After Liam's surgery, Grace told Steffy that some of the pressure had been removed from his brain. They were lucky to have been able to perform the procedure quickly, or Liam would have died. Although he wasn't out of the woods yet, Liam was now stable.

A relieved Steffy assured Liam he would be okay, especially after Grace told her that Liam's condition was still quite critical. Grace hoped that Liam wouldn't need a more complex surgery or have brain damage. "What we need now is for Liam to wake up because the longer he stays unconscious, the less chance he has of making a full recovery," Grace said.

Steffy sat down by Liam's bedside and begged him to wake. When Grace looked at the CT scan, she noticed more than one point of impact on Liam's skull. "He's very lucky you got there when you did. A few minutes later, he wouldn't have made it. Liam Spencer owes you his life," she said.

"So many people are counting on you, Liam. So many people need you. Your dad. Your brothers. Your daughters. Kelly, Beth, they love their daddy so much," Steffy said in tears. "I need you, too. Even though we are not together anymore, we will always be bonded for life," she added before remembering magical moments from her life with Liam.

Steffy's words appeared to do the trick because before she knew it, Liam's eyes fluttered, and he woke up.

Kelly continued coloring in the living room while Finn tried keeping her mind off her parents not arriving yet. She was excited about the dress that Steffy had bought her for the daddy-daughter dance. "I love being your stepdad, but Liam's your father. You and Beth? You're his pride and joy. He'll always be there for you," Finn assured.

Kelly began getting sad and impatient, so Finn texted Steffy to ask where she was and tell her that Kelly would be going to a friend's house until she got there.

At Il Giardano, Hope told Deacon she was glad to know that she could count on him. Deacon assured Hope that she wasn't alone and advised her to put Steffy and Ridge out of her mind. "It's not big surprise they screwed you over...Carter, I understand. That's gotta sting," Deacon said.

Hope admitted she still loved Carter, but he betrayed her, and she was done. Between giving he company back to its rightful owners and kissing Daphne, that was enough for Hope to call it quits. Deacon was disgusted when he heard the Daphne part of the tale.

"Carter sold you out. He left you in the dust," Deacon said. Hope was still amazed that Carter "didn't walk out with me in solidarity." Deacon pointed out that all Carter did was prove he wasn't the man for Hope. "Your guy? He's going to run into a burning building for you. That I promise. You're going to find him. But until you do, you got me," Deacon vowed.

Hope was grateful to have one parent in her corner. She hated being on Brooke's property when things were no longer normal between them. Deacon reiterated his offer for Hope and Beth to move into the room next to his apartment. Hope said she might take him up on it if things didn't get better with Brooke. Deacon vowed not to let Ridge, Steffy, and Carter get away with hurting Hope.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge tried to work while Brooke went on and on about how "this whole ordeal has been devastating." Ridge agreed and pointed out it wasn't just devastating for "your daughter." Brooke once again argued that Carter was the one who had signed the LLC papers, but Ridge once again countered that Carter had admitted wrongdoing when Hope had not. "Hope's just pissed it didn't work," Ridge said.

Brooke was still arguing that Hope deserved a second chance when Carter walked in. Ridge couldn't wait to tell him that they were talking about Hope. Brooke wanted to know why Ridge was holding Hope to a higher standard. "She spent half her life here. She deserves to be here, and her line should be reinstated," Brooke insisted.

"What do you think, Carter? Isn't that what you want for Hope?" Brooke asked, putting Carter on the spot. Carter tried to remain neutral and diplomatic, but finally said how he felt. "You gave me your word. You and Eric promised me that Hope wouldn't be punished, let alone ejected from the company," Carter said.

Carter admitted he knew he did wrong, but that just gave Ridge more ammunition. "Hope doesn't think she did anything wrong, and that's a problem," Ridge said. Carter understood, but he was still broken up over Hope ending things between the two of them.

"Maybe it's for the best. She's a big girl. She's gonna land on her feet. She'll get another job," Ridge said. Brooke lamented that she had promised Hope she'd go to bat for her. Ridge pointed out that was what she was doing. "But I gotta ask you a favor. Please don't defend her. Not around here. Not after what happened," Ridge asked.

Later, Carter sat in the design office, remembering various passionate moments with Hope telling him she believed in him. Deacon entered the room to interrupt Carter's thoughts and tell him exactly what he thought of Hope's current situation.

"You messed with my daughter. That's a bad move. Very bad," Deacon said in a threatening manner.
