At Il Giardino, Sheila said there was no way she was going to ignore Luna killing Tom and Hollis – two of her employees and her husband's good friends. Sheila said that Luna belonged in prison. “What is wrong with you?” Sheila asked her granddaughter. “We are nothing alike,” Sheila added.

Luna said sure, maybe she was crazy – “crazy like her grandmother!” Sheila looked at Luna like she had lost her mind. “Maybe you should go and talk to her,” Sheila said when Luna announced she was reaching out to her grandmother.

Sheila laughed in Luna’s face when Luna said that Sheila was her grandmother. “You need to go!” Sheila demanded. Sheila stopped in her tracks after Luna informed her that Finn was her father. Sheila told Luna she was a killer and a pathological liar. Luna told Sheila she could call Finn and he would confirm what she was saying.

“It’s super-weird,” Luna conceded about Finn being her dad. She says Finn ran his own tests. “There’s no denying it, Sheila. I’m a part of you.”

“You really expect me to believe you’re my granddaughter,” Sheila grimly said. Then, she opened up to the idea of this all being true. Luna said that the two women could do a DNA test. Sheila looked into Luna’s eyes and saw the truth. “You are my granddaughter,” Sheila said, nearly in tears. Then, she gave her a big kiss on the lips and laughed as only Sheila Carter could.

At the Forrester mansion, Steffy, Ridge, Eric, Taylor, and Daphne celebrated Carter ripping up the LLC papers, thus giving control of Forrester Creations back to the Forrester family. Steffy thanked Daphne for helping get Carter to change his mind. However, Steffy added that Carter allowed himself to be brainwashed by Hope.

Steffy didn't want to waste any time getting things back to the way they were. She had zero intention of working with Hope again. In fact, she was insistent that Hope had no business being anywhere near Forrester Creations.

At the cabin, Carter said that Ridge and Eric stopped by Forrester Creations to talk to him and try to regain control of the company. A very nervous Hope was very clear that was not going to happen as long as Carter had the LLC papers. She kept repeating that hoping that Carter would reassure her that he didn't do anything too rash. Hope said she was open to Ridge and Eric being part of Forrester’s future. She was fine if they wanted to schedule. meeting to open up dialogue but that was as far as she was willing to go for now.

Carter tried to break it to Hope gently. “I value us more than anything,” he told her. He said he’d made a decision and he hoped she agreed with it.

Carter added that he’d had a bit of an identity crisis as of late, as well as a clear attack of conscience. He admitted he ignored his legal responsibilities by taking over Forrester. He neglected his duties, his standards, and his integrity. Hope began to get nervous but tried to pretend that everything was okay. She reminded Carter that he did all that to help Forrester Creations. Carter said while that may be true, he dishonored Eric, who’d been like a father, and Ridge, who’d been like a brother. "You’ve let them get in your head," Hope said. "Carter, you’re second-guessing yourself."

"About the LLC papers," Carter started to say, but Hope refused to let him finish. Hope said those papers are the key to them running Forrester. She claimed that she knew his conscience was weighing on him. Carter reiterated that nothing has changed. He added that he made a deal with Eric and Ridge. “What kind of deal?” Hope nervously asked. “Stop stalling. What kind of deal did you make?” At this point, Hope was fidgeting and becoming hysterical.

“The LLC papers are gone,” Carter said. “I tore them up. I gave the company back to the Forresters.”

Hope nearly lost her mind with that statement and started to cry. She said she “loved” Carter. He noted that she used the past tense. Hope said this was about getting rid of toxic leadership. Carter countered that his vision was clouded. “They gave me a second chance,” he said.

“Ridge and Eric gave you an olive branch…what about me? What about Hope For The Future? They accepted my conditions,” Carter said. Hope said, “You didn’t get it in writing.” She was absolutely furious. “Ridge and Steffy have it out for me. They’re going to fire me," she wailed.

Hope wondered what happened to Carter’s word. “What happened to standing up for us?” she asked. “It changes everything. All of your brilliant ideas will get sidelined.”

Brooke’s daughter couldn't understand why Carter had done this. Carter believed that Hope For The Future was still alive and that they both had positions at Forrester. “Why did you throw it all away?” Hope asked. “How could you? “How could you do this to me?”
