Carter met with Eric in the backyard of the Forrester mansion to discuss his expansion idea. Eric thought it was a complete overhaul of the Forrester business model.

Eric pointed out that the only way for the plan to work was to take out substantial loans. Carter agreed but said his plan was solid. Eric thought Carter's vision was alarming.

Eric said that his company has never been in debt. “You want to risk our reputation and everything we’ve accomplished just to make some more money? We don’t need that,” Eric told Carter. He added that he appreciated everything Carter has done for the company but said his plan lost sight of what Forrester Creations really was.

Carter was dumbstruck by Eric’s comments. He tried to tell him more about his idea but Eric was sure he wasn’t interested in getting in over their heads financially. Carter got a text and made a quick exit.

Katie came to the design office and asked Hope if she wanted to get something to eat later, but saw that Hope was upset. Hope told Katie that Steffy had fired her and why. Katie said that Steffy couldn’t fire anyone without Ridge signing off on it so not to worry, Katie was sure it would get sorted out.

Steffy insisted to Ridge and Taylor that it wasn’t a misunderstanding and that she saw Hope on Finn with her own eyes. Steffy felt that the Logans had been attacking their family for years, and she couldn’t take it anymore. Steffy told Ridge she wasn’t going to keep coming to work and watching Hope make play after play for her husband. “I can’t work with Hope. It’s either her or me,” Steffy said simply.

Taylor told Ridge that Hope crossed a line and thought her behavior was like Brooke’s. Steffy reminded her parents that Hope had been warned clearly not to cross the line again or she would be fired. Taylor told Ridge that she knew it put him in a bind, but he couldn’t keep Hope on as an employee out of principal.

Hope walked in and interrupted their discussion. “We were just talking about you and your mother’s lingerie,” Taylor said. Hope insisted it was an innocent misunderstanding, but Steffy said she was lying to save her line. Before Ridge could speak, Steffy told Hope that Ridge agreed with her firing. “You’re done, Hope. I want you gone from Forrester,” Steffy told her.

Steffy asked who Hope was waiting for if not for Finn. Hope insisted she didn’t even know Finn would be there. Ridge asked how she explained being on top of Finn, and Hope said she was a klutz. Steffy told Hope, “Shame on you, and shame on you for putting Finn in that position. We are no longer supporting HFTF.” Steffy called Hope fake and a fraud and said that the image of the good girl she portrayed was not who she really was. “You’re just another slut from the valley,” Steffy concluded.

Steffy told Hope she wanted her out immediately. Charlie came into the office and asked why Steffy called him. Steffy ordered Charlie to take Hope’s badge, escort her from the building, and alert the other guards that she was not allowed to step foot inside Forrester again.

Hope turned to Ridge and said he hadn’t thought things through. “This is Steffy’s resentment and insecurities talking. I swear I didn’t do anything,” Hope begged. Ridge couldn’t believe she said that and quickly made his decision. “Hope, you have to go. It’s for the best,” Ridge told her. Hope wanted him to hear her out, but he said she needed to leave the building, and they could deal with the details later.

Ridge, Taylor, and Steffy followed Charlie and Hope into the reception area. Some models were there eating cake and celebrating a birthday. They asked Hope if she wanted some. Instead, she told them she was leaving and then decided to make a speech.

Hope told Ridge and Steffy that she grew up there and Forrester was part of her legacy. She added that her family helped build the company with the Forresters. Hope said that Steffy had been gunning for her for years and that she finally got her wish. “I hope you’re satisfied, but know one thing. Your opinion of me means nothing to me,” Hope said.

The models watched, and the Forresters raised eyebrows as Hope continued, “I am a Logan, and I am proud to be a Logan, and that is something that even your beloved grandmother, Stephanie, accepted in the end, or have you forgotten?” Ridge had enough and told her it was time to go. He told Charlie they would take it from there. Ridge and Steffy walked Hope to the elevator. Steffy said firmly, “Goodbye, Hope,” as the doors closed.

Ridge told the models there was nothing more to see, and they returned to work. Taylor said that scene was hard to watch, but it had to be done. Ridge said she did it to herself. “Hope gave us no choice. Thank you for supporting me, Dad,” Steffy added.

Outside, Hope walked to the parking lot as Carter’s tires squealed coming towards her. He hit the brakes and jumped out, claiming he came as soon as he got her text. Hope told Carter that Steffy had fired her. Carter held her and then kissed Hope. As they embraced, he glared at the Forrester Creations sign and said that they would not get away with this.
