What You Missed on The Bold and the Beautiful

Brooke showed up at Hope’s little log cabin. Hope asked her what was going on and if she needed to talk about Ridge. Brooke said it was the same old thing. Hope told her about Luna being pardoned and asked what Ridge said about it. Brooke said they hadn't communicated so she didn’t know his opinion. Brooke was horrified when she learned that Daphne kissed Carter.

Hope explained that Daphne thought Hope was using Carter. She lamented that she had admired Daphne and looked up to her and was excited when she started working with Forrester. But then she felt Daphne betrayed her with the kiss. Hope said Carter let the kiss happen because he was drawn to her like everybody else. Brooke asked her where everything stood between the two and Hope explained that she believed in her and Carter's love and no one could break that.

Ridge was on the phone with someone asking how someone could get pardoned when they killed two people. After he hung up, Eric asked who would want to free Luna. Ridge was certain that Bill was behind it, but there was no proof of that yet. Steffy said that today would be the day they would get Forrester Creations out of Carter's hands, so they needed to focus on that. Steffy said that Daphne’s help was instrumental in getting Carter to realize the error of his ways. Ridge said they had to wake him up before it was too late. So, Eric and Ridge headed to the Forrester Creations offices.

Daphne showed up at the Forresters’ and Steffy told her she knew that she would have no trouble getting Carter's attention and driving a wedge between him and Hope. Steffy marveled that Daphne woke up Carter's conscience. Daphne said she merely reminded him what he already knew. Steffy asked if she had feelings for Carter. Daphne said she thought so.

Daphne further explained that she knew the family was mad at Carter but they shouldn’t write him off entirely. Steffy told her that Ridge and Eric went to the office to give Carter one last chance to give the company back to them. Steffy said Ridge could see the cracks in Carter's resolve. Daphne confirmed that Carter had been feeling guilty for quite a while. She didn't know if Hope could still turn him against them, but knew he still had loyalty to the Forresters. Steffy hoped he would do the right thing. Daphne said she hoped he listened to his conscience and returned the company to her family and felt Carter would come through. She also told Steffy that her family thought Carter was the enemy but he wasn't…it was Hope. She said he did what he did because he was enamored by Hope. “Now, not so much," Steffy commented.

At the office, Carter recalled telling Ridge he missed their friendship. Before heading to see Steffy, Daphne walked in and could tell right away that he missed Ridge, and asked him if that was the case. “I know you think you are loved darling but she's been using you,” Daphne said about Hope. She told him that when he finally gave the company back to the Foresters, he should remember what she said about Hope.

She left and soon after, Ridge and Eric showed up, surprising Carter. Ridge said he would even be more surprised to find out why they were there — they were ready to take back their company. Carter was surprised that they wanted to come back and realized that Steffy and Zende had filled them in on what was going on.

Carter asked what they wanted. Ridge said they would give them one more chance to get things right and give the company back to Eric, Steffy, and him. Ridge told Carter that they were offering him a chance to move forward and get out of it because that's what he wanted. Carter asked how Ridge knew that. Ridge said it was because they all knew him and had always known him…until he got involved with Hope.

Ridge told Carter that saving Hope for the Future cost him his values and integrity. Eric said they weren't just watching everything, they were keeping an eye on him as well. “I'm not gonna lie,” Carter said, “I've been struggling.” Carter also admitted he was proud of what he’d accomplished there and was glad that Eric and Ridge acknowledged the wisdom of his visions and the changes he made, which he considered an opportunity for everyone.

Eric reminded him that the name on the building and every item they made was Forrester and that it was his and Ridge's company. Carter seemed ready to give it back but asked for them to give their word that they wouldn’t cancel Hope for the Future because it was having a resurgence.

Eric said that if it was on the upswing, they’d be foolish to drop it. Carter said he hated that it came to that, and he hated taking the company from them. Despite the incredible gains, the victories were hollow without them there. Eric admitted Ridge was right and that the old Carter was still there.

He said Carter belonged there with them. Carter was at a loss for words. He then apologized that he let it get out of hand and said he missed them both. They said they missed him as well and called him a brother. Ridge asked where the contract was. Carter pulled it out of the desk and tore it in half. He said there was one more thing, and gave Eric his stapler. Then, Carter and Ridge shook hands.

At Bill’s, Luna wrapped up signing papers from the warden and noted that her address was going to change. He then gave her her personal belongings from her initial intake at the prison. He told her to stay out of trouble and left just as Poppy showed up. Luna asked what she was doing there.

Poppy asked why she didn't let her know that she was at Bill’s. “Like you didn't let me know about my dad?” Luna asked. Luna reiterated that Finn was her father and Poppy deprived her of him. She described Finn as a good and wonderful man who would have loved her. “Everything that I have ever done has always been for you, Luna,” Poppy said.

Poppy admitted that she hoped Bill was her father and really wanted him to be. "But deep down you knew it was Finn, didn't you, Mom?” Luna asked. Luna tried to get Poppy to admit that she knew all along that Finn was her father. Luna also brought up that Poppy hid Tom's letters from her and let her believe she was a Spencer, all to keep her from learning the truth. Luna admitted that when she looked at Finn she could see the resemblance and and asked Poppy how she couldn't see it either.

Luna said it killed her to know that her life could have been completely different. Poppy said Luna took those men's lives to protect herself, not because of her “dramatic childhood.” Luna again asked if Poppy really believed Tom was her father or if she had hidden the letters because she knew all along that Finn was her father. “For once in your life, give me the truth!”
