The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Friday, January 31, 2025: Poppy goes to the prison

At the cliff house, Steffy assured her dad that she and Daphne knew what they were doing. Ridge made some dad jokes about how Carter might ‘sniff out’ something was up. Steffy was determined to put an end to the coup.

In the CEO’s office, the fragrance Daphne Rose was wearing was captivating Carter and Hope. She walked around the office and looked Carter in the eye, holding his attention as Hope gushed to her about her new, exquisite scent.

Hope continued to fangirl about Daphne and how incredible she was. She asked if Carter agreed and he and Daphne stared at one another as he said she was amazing. Hope got called away to do something for HFTF but gushed to Daphne first how excited she was to be working with her.

Once alone, Carter started to fumble over his words as he described the marketing plan for Daphne’s fragrance line. She walked toward him slowly and sultry and stroked her hands on his chest. “Carter, look at me,” she cooed, and he obliged. Daphne told Carter that men and women all over the world want her and what she has. “And you have me,” she said as they gazed at one another.

Hope was in the design office when Steffy came in. She showed her some of Zende’s newest designs. Steffy was impressed and said she was proud of her cousin. Hope was surprised there were no snarky comments coming from Steffy. Steffy said she was happy he could bring back some semblance of fashion to the line. Hope immediately reminded Steffy, who was in charge, and said no one was going to change that.

At the Spencer mansion, Bill told Luna that if Tom Starr wasn’t her father, she might never know who her real father was. Bill said that he didn’t want her to have a horrible father like he did, so maybe not knowing was better.

Bill said he would share something with Luna that he had never told anyone, including “his Katie.” Bill said the pain from his mother and the resentment he had toward her came from growing up without a father. He said his mother would never speak of him, and his mom just had a revolving door of men. Bill said he felt like an afterthought like his feelings didn’t exist. He added that the pain stayed with him, like a child’s pain in an adult’s body, and he waged war all the time with those feelings.

Bill agreed they had more in common than anyone else, so he heard what she said and wanted to help. Bill told Luna that he never had any help, struggled, and made mistakes. He said he had done so many things that he shouldn’t have done. Eventually, he found his way out and built his empire, and now he wanted to make a difference. Bill wanted to give Luna a second chance, but she had to prove him right, that people like them, who came from disturbing childhoods, could be successful.

Bill told Luna to trust him, and they needed to attempt to heal from their pasts with their mothers. Bill thought they had given it too much of their lives. Luna didn’t know how to move past anything, as so much of her life had been based on lies. Bill told Luna she just had to take responsibility for her own actions. She hugged him and thanked him. Luna told Bill she wished he really was her dad.

In his office, Finn told Poppy he wanted the truth. He didn’t want to believe that Poppy would lie to his face all those years. Poppy cried that she fell in love with Bill and had hoped he was because they were becoming a family. But a part of her also believed it had to be Tom. She said she was just as shocked as Finn was that Tom wasn’t Luna’s father. She said she understood how it looked, but Finn was making something out of nothing, and he had to trust her. Poppy told Finn not to ask her ever again and repeated that Luna was not his daughter.

Finn asked April to bring him Luna’s blood and a paternity test from the lab. He said he needed answers. April told Finn that his mom ran really similar tests not that long ago. Finn said he was aware, so April left him to it. Finn locked the door and picked up Luna’s blood vial. He flashed back to his conversation with Poppy and how she told him there was no reason to question Luna’s paternity while he read the newspaper article about Luna’s crimes. He remembered breaking in the door and saving Steffy. “Poppy’s right, there’s no way. Luna? My daughter? It can’t be,” he said to himself.

Poppy went to the prison to talk to Luna about her father. The warden came in and asked what she needed. Poppy asked to speak to her daughter and said it was urgent but was told she wasn’t there. “Where is she? What have you done with Luna?” Poppy asked.
