In the design room, Zende was working as Hope rattled on about the jewelry line launch, then the fragrance line dropped. “That means it’s our turn next,” Hope gushed. “The line’s turn. Hope for the Future’s turn, you mean,” Zende corrected her. Hope acknowledged that Zende’s designs would contribute to the line’s success. She said Daphne had already made her mark with the new Forrester fragrance. “And with Forrester’s new man in charge?” Zende asked. Hope agreed that Carter and Daphne complemented one another.
Hope thought the way Carter and Daphne worked together would only be good for the company. Zende said that given all of Carter’s successes, he wasn’t as stoked as he should be and asked why she thought that could be. He pointed out that the only person at Forrester who was excited about anything was Hope.
Zende noted that Hope was a fan of Daphne’s, and Carter was too. Hope commented that Carter and Daphne clicked and were connected in a way that they didn’t need to speak to let each other know what they were thinking. “Or feeling. Creatively, I mean,” Zende added. Hope stated that Daphne Rose was an indispensable addition to the company and believed she would change the course for Carter and for Hope.
In the CEO’s office, Daphne and Carter talked about his hollow victory since losing his friendships with Ridge and Eric. Daphne assured him she wasn’t judging. Instead, she saw an opportunity. She said that he had proven his point, was a success, and it was the golden opportunity to return the company to Ridge and Steffy.

Daphne brought Carter to a mirror in the office and asked him who he saw when he looked in it. She asked him to be honest with her but, more importantly, be honest with himself.
Daphne told Carter that when she first came to Forrester, knowing about the coup, she thought she would meet a cunning traitor, but she was wrong. She told him he was an extraordinary man of principles. Carter said the Forresters would disagree. Daphne insisted he had made his own indelible mark on the company. “But the true mark of an extraordinary leader...man...is knowing when to say when. This would be an excellent time to broker a deal,” she advised. Daphne suggested that if the Forresters agreed to keep Hope for the Future, he could return the company to them. “I could even go to Ridge and Steffy on your behalf,” she purred.
Carter backed away and said that she wasn’t the only one who had suggested he return the company to the Forresters. Daphne knew that Hope wasn’t one of those people. She told Carter this was about him and who he was, and he was a good, decent man. Carter said he was but didn’t feel that way. As Daphne ran her hands on his arms and chest, he listened intently to her compliments.
Hope skipped across the hall from the design office but stopped in her tracks when she saw Daphne and Carter having an intimate moment. She pulled the office door a little more shut and peered in unnoticed as Carter and Daphne began to kiss.
At the cliff house, Steffy told her mom about Luna being Finn’s daughter. Taylor was horrified and shocked. Steffy told her all the details that Finn had given her about how he and Poppy hooked up and she lied about the possibility that he was the father. Taylor went into denial and said someone must have altered the test. Taylor told Steffy it was a lot to handle and she didn’t have to be strong. Taylor was there for her, and hugged her as she wept.
At the Spencer mansion, Finn wanted to know what Luna was doing there. She explained her and Bill’s connection about their childhoods. Finn was shocked that Bill got her out of prison after all she did. Luna knew Finn was shocked, but she asked why he was looking for her.
Finn was still a bag of mixed emotions, and Luna pleaded with him to believe that she felt remorse for everything she had done, from murdering two men to caging Steffy. “I am shocked and ashamed of myself,” she cried. Luna begged Finn, as her ‘cousin’ and someone who knew the real her, to believe her.
Luna assumed that Finn came to tell her off, but swore it wasn’t who she was. She rambled about Tom Starr and how she didn’t feel like he was her father. She lamented how Tom knew he was her dad but didn’t fight for her. She cried about her unstable childhood and how she prayed and hoped that someone would come along and take her away but it didn’t happen. “I didn’t know! I didn’t know!” Finn cried as he held her.
