As Liam lay on the floor of Bill's mansion, unconscious, Steffy discussed Liam and Bill's volatile relationship with Ridge.
"It's gotta be tough for Liam. His mom's gone. Now Bill is the only parent he has left, and the way Bill treats him sometimes. It's awful," Steffy said, admitting that she still cared about Liam. Ridge couldn't even imagine why Liam would want to have a relationship with Bill "father or not."
Steffy lamented that Liam had been acting dejected lately. "He's stuck in this toxic place with his father, who let a psychopath out of prison. The psychopath who tried to kill me," she said. Steffy then left, telling Ridge she was going to find Bill and stand up for Liam.
At Bill's mansion, Liam regained consciousness and stood up, but he was dizzy and out of sorts, bleeding from the back of his neck. When he touched his neck and saw the blood, he walked out the door but quickly lost his footing and fell to the ground. Thankfully, Steffy got there soon after and freaked out when she saw Liam's condition. She begged for Liam to wake before finally calling 911.
Steffy accompanied Liam when he was rushed into the ER. Grace Buckingham was the doctor on call. She asked Steffy what had happened and had her stand back so she could assess Liam. "You need to do something, please. I can't lose him," Steffy cried.
Dr. Buckingham soon told Steffy that Liam likely suffered from an intercranial hemorrhage. "This is a life-threatening injury. We're going to do everything that we can," she said. Suddenly, Liam began flatlining.
Brooke sat in her living room working from home, but she couldn't get her mind off of her fractured relationship with Hope. She remembered their battle that took place last week when she glanced at a mother-daughter pic on her phone's home screen. She texted Hope to tell her that she loved her and wanted her to come home.
Once Ridge was alone, Brooke walked in and thanked Ridge for letting her stay on at Forrester Creations. "You know there will always be a place here for you, Logan," Ridge said. Brooke nearly swooned when he said the word. "I'm glad that you're still calling me Logan," she gushed.
Finally, she announced the reason she was there. She hoped that Ridge would welcome Hope back to the company. "I know what Hope did was out of line," Brooke started. Ridge told her that "out of line" was an understatement. Brooke wasn't deterred. "Hope is devastated. She feels like everyone has betrayed her, including me," Brooke said.
Brooke asked Ridge to have some compassion and mercy for Hope, but Ridge didn't look like he was going to budge. "What Steffy is doing to Hope isn't right. She's making this personal. Isn't this what got us into this mess?" Brooke asked. Ridge said it was always personal. The only reason they welcomed Carter back was because he realized what he had done wrong and Hope had not.
Brooke then changed the subject and told Ridge that she missed him. "Don't you miss me?" she said, getting closer to Ridge while looking into his eyes.
Finn came in from the beach and yelled for Kelly to rinse off her swimsuit and get ready for her day with her dad, who was supposed to be there soon. He then texted Steffy to remind her that Liam was coming over. When Kelly emerged from her room all ready for Liam, she gushed about how she couldn't wait to see her father.
Finn made Kelly a sandwich as she went on and on about how she loved spending time with both of her parents. She was surprised that Steffy and Liam weren't already there.
Deacon repeated his offer for Hope to move into the room next to his apartment above Il Giardano. Deacon understood that Hope had problems with Sheila, but he promised to make life nice for Hope and Beth if she decided to move. Hope still seemed hesitant.
Hope spotted the text from her mother and became pensive, but all Deacon wanted to talk about was how everyone had wronged his daughter. "Honestly, I'm not surprised that he stayed on at Forrester. That guy's been trying to get their approval for years," he said of Carter.
Hope complained that she wasn't sure that she could even trust her own judgment anymore. "I thought Carter loved me. I believed him when he said he would champion me, and don't even get me started on Mom," she said. Deacon asked why Brooke was still working for Forrester Creations. "I'll give you one guess. Ridge," Hope groaned. "She didn't even take the CEO position to help us out. She just did it to give the company back to Ridge. She chose him. She chose all of the Forresters over her own daughter," she added.
Hope showed Deacon the text, saying she didn't even know how to respond. "Home doesn't feel like it used to anymore," Hope sighed. She was grateful she had her dad to turn to. Deacon advised Hope to give herself some grace after so many missteps in her love life the past two years. He brought up Carter, Thomas, and Liam.
"It's funny you bring up Liam. I've been thinking about him a lot lately," Hope admitted. "It does feel like our life has gone a bit off the rails ever since I ended our marriage. It has a way of putting things into perspective. We really did share some beautiful times together, and he truly is an amazing father to Beth and Kelly...He truly is an amazing man."
