The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, April 28: Brooke hints that Ridge might propose, Taylor and Steffy seethe

Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, April 28, 2025, when everyone felt the need to tell everyone else how spectacularly amazing they were.

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Ridge stood on the quiet runway. When he turned around, he saw Brooke dressed in her regular clothing. He immediately complimented her. "It was incredible. You were incredible," he said. He explained his shock was because he thought the dress was missing, and then Brooke appeared in it. "You were more surprised than anybody," Brooke said. He asked her how she ever pulled off saving the day in the Portofino showstopper.

Markell Washington and reporters asked Ridge and Brooke questions by the runway as they stood with their arms around one another. They were on livestreams as they were asked about their relationship and how there had been rumors. The reporter asked if there would be another use for the dress.

Backstage, Carter and Daphne reveled in the show's success. Daphne once again started coming onto Carter. He didn’t push her away, even when she began kissing him, something Katie witnessed with a horrified look on her face.

Ridge stopped by to tell Carter that he was glad he’d found his conscience, and he was pleased to share the team’s success with him. Carter seemed happy to have Ridge’s approval. Later, Carter worked on emails in a dressing room while Zende gave him the big news: The showstopper was all Eric's idea.

In the vault, Will helped Electra put the jewelry away. He suggested he wouldn’t be upset if the door accidentally locked them in so they could celebrate her work alone. Ivy popped in and reminded them that at Forrester, they all celebrate together. After Ivy left, Will complimented Ivy on her work. Later, Electra was thrilled to meet Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt backstage. She and Will watched as Spencer took photos of Heidi with some of the crystal jewelry in front of the runway.

Steffy and Taylor did not have the same reaction as everyone else as they watched the same coverage in a backstage dressing room. "That's why Brooke was so desperate to get out of the vault," Taylor grumbled, before explaining to Steffy how she and Brooke were accidentally locked in there.

"How could this happen?!" Steffy wondered. She was especially distressed when she saw Brooke and Ridge doing their live-stream press event. They were shocked when a reporter asked if there were other plans for that dress. A giddy Brooke looked at Ridge and said, "With this man, you never know."

Steffy and Taylor tried to find Ridge backstage, but by the time they got there, they found Katie promoting Daphne's perfume. Steffy and Taylor gave a smirking Katie the third degree. "Brooke walking on stage with that in that dress was clearly no accident," Taylor said. "Clearly, she had this planned," Steffy agreed.

Eric and Donna watched the positive coverage of the fashion show on TV and reveled in Forrester Creations' success. "What a showstopper!" Eric declared to an adoring Donna. "When Ridge appears, Ridge is speechless, just speechless," she gushed.

Eric and Donna agreed that Brooke took Ridge's breath away. "He couldn't take his eyes off her," Eric marveled. Genoa City's Christine Blair arrived in Eric's office to interrupt Eric and Donna's little Brooke fest to tell them how amazing Brooke was. "A stroke of genius from my Honey Bear," Donna bragged.

Eric and Donna welcomed Katie and Zende, who were thrilled with the success of the show. The influencers were going insane with praise over such an amazing show and showstopper. "They're doing mashups between the old Portofino and the new," Katie said.

Christine gave Eric a release to have on file for using Danny Romalotti’s music during their show. She said she had to get to the airport; when Christine left, Donna asked her to tell Danny to rock on. Chris assured them that she would. Once they were alone again, Eric and Donna continued to revel in the joy of the fashion show before Brooke walked in.

"Oh, there she is. The most famous showstopper," Eric said. Ridge concurred with, "This woman knows how to make an entrance." Eric even remembered to thank Zende because he deserved some credit, too. Zende was proud to announce that Brooke and Ridge were already trending on social media.

Steffy and Taylor appeared, accusing Brooke of just wanting attention. Eric copped to being the one behind it. "This is Forrester. Couture is our lifeblood. This was our first fashion show since the takeover, so it had to be a sensation. I was inspired by that beautiful Portofino showstopper. It was bold. It was beautiful. It was Brooke," he declared, as Steffy and Taylor gave him the side eye.

Steffy spoke up first, claiming Brooke wasn't part of the lineup. "The focus was supposed to be your designs, Granddad, not office politics or our personal lives," Steffy argued. Brooke claimed Eric came to her with the idea at the very last minute.

Ridge wanted to know why Brooke was late, so Taylor admitted that it was her fault since she had accidentally locked them both in there. "It was never my intention to put a wrench in anyone's plans," Taylor admitted. Eric said it was a PR success cause they changed the narrative. "Nobody's talking about the takeover anymore," he bragged.

"The line deserved the spotlight, not Brooke," Steffy countered. Eric reminded her that Brooke and Ridge embody the Forrester legacy. "I put that on stage and it worked like a charm. Brooke was radiant. She saved the show," Eric declared.

Brooke later asked to speak to Eric alone. "I could feel it on the runway. The magic. Ridge remembered," Brooke said. "It's the best decision I've ever made. A father helping his son help himself," Eric pronounced.

Taylor and Ridge shared a few moments backstage as well. Taylor insisted that the designs were the big hits. "It was not just Brooke," she reasoned. Ridge also knew what was coming. "How pissed is she? 1 to 10," Ridge asked, referring to Steffy. "Let's just say she's probably just as angry as Brooke was being stuck in the vault with me," Taylor replied.

Ridge assured Taylor that he was just caught up in the moment with Brooke on the runway, but he loved Taylor. When Taylor left, all Ridge could think about was Brooke in the showstopper dress.
