Here is your The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, April 21, 2025, when Steffy got the worst news of her life.
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
At the hospital, Finn told Bridget and Grace that he just texted Steffy about Liam's fatal brain tumor. Bridget was still beside herself thinking of Liam's children. Finn was surprised they had only just found out when Liam was brought in nearly two weeks ago.
Bridget and Grace explained that they weren't looking for a tumor. They thought they were treating a brain bleed due to a fall. Finn asked whether it was inoperable multiple times, as if he didn't hear the two women the first time. Bridget insisted that Liam had to get back to the hospital right away.
They were relieved when Steffy texted to tell Finn where Liam was. Finn rushed home to be with his wife and her dying ex. After Finn left, Grace confirmed Liam's diagnosis and learned there were no options for Liam. This news nearly caused Bridget to have a meltdown. She shook as she said, "I just can't believe it. Liam is so young. He has his whole life ahead of him."
Grace admitted it was rare to see patients of Liam's age with tumors like this. Bridget was worried about Hope. "My sister. My poor sister. Hope is going to be such a wreck," Bridget cried. "I can't wrap my head around this. How is Liam going to say goodbye to those little girls?" she asked in disbelief.
Steffy stood in shock as Liam and Kelly danced the night away in her living room. Liam could see that Steffy had a strange look on her face, but didn't question her as he posed for goofy pics with his daughter. When Kelly asked Steffy to show her the pics, she noticed her mother was in tears and asked why she was crying.
Steffy claimed she had tears of joy watching these special moments between Kelly and Liam. Steffy wept some more as Liam told Kelly he wouldn't have missed the dance for the world. "Nothing could have stopped me," he said. "You're the best daddy. I never want to let you go," Kelly replied as she hugged her dad.
Kelly insisted on dancing some more, but Liam was too worn out. "I am so tired, and I think Daddy needs a little bit of rest," Liam said. Steffy asked Kelly to get her pajamas on just as Finn walked in. Liam said he was feeling good after Kelly pointed out that Daddy was tired. Kelly told Finn all about the night.
"It was better than a real dance. We had the dance floor all to ourselves," she said. As Liam tried to leave the room to tuck Kelly in, Finn told Liam what an amazing father he was. Liam found this to be an odd statement, but he thanked Finn anyway.
Once Finn and Steffy were alone in the room, Steffy begged Finn to tell her Liam would be okay. "Please tell me it's not as bad as it sounds," she said. Steffy was stunned to hear that Liam left the hospital on his own accord, but was more concerned with how a tumor seemed to just appear out of nowhere. She was in denial when Finn told her there was no cure.
"There's no easy way to say this. Liam is dying," Finn told his weeping wife.
While Kelly brushed her teeth, Liam got her bed ready and began to feel dizzy. He finally tucked Kelly in and read her a story while Steffy cried her eyes out in the next room.
In Eric's living room, Ridge prepared for the latest Forrester Creations fashion show, but Taylor could only talk about the daddy-daughter dance and how happy Kelly and Liam must be. Ridge felt inspired, so he asked Taylor to dance with him before pulling her in for a kiss.
After the kiss, they went back to staring at photos of Kelly and gushing at what an amazing dad Liam was. Ridge wanted to go back in time and relive their children's lives, but they could at least live vicariously through Kelly and Steffy. "I cherish all those moments with my kids, but Liam has it all in front of him with his two beautiful girls," a weepy Ridge said.

Ridge and Taylor were so happy that Kelly saw her one mom, two sisters, two dads, and one brother as one big happy family. Ridge even pointed out all the baggage that Finn came with, but he turned out to be a great stepdad. "She's surrounded by so much love," Taylor said of Steffy and Kelly.
