The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, April 17: Finn's fascinating visits with his mothers

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Sheila was pleased when Deacon texted her that he was still with Hope, so she could spend more time with Luna. Sheila told Luna that Deacon would one day accept Luna. "I can convince that man of anything," Sheila said.

Shelia promised Luna that they would also make sure that Finn embraced and accepted her. Sheila couldn't believe Poppy disowned her own daughter. "Well, I did frame her for murder," Luna said. "We all make mistakes," Sheila replied as Luna just shrugged.

"I can't think of a better man in this world who would be a better father for you than Finn," Sheila declared. Luna lamented that Steffy didn't feel the same. Luna was in awe of Finn and couldn't "imagine a better dad." Luna hoped that Finn's genes had rubbed off on her, and there was some good deep down inside. "I'm just scared that I'm never going to know Finn as my father cause of Steffy," she said.

In his office, Finn remembered telling Luna he was her father until Li showed up to interrupt his thoughts. Li went on and on about how the whole situation sickened her. "Penelope took advantage of you all those years ago," Li said. Finn once again insisted that the affair was consensual.

"I don't care if Luna is your flesh and blood, Finn. You need to stay far away from her. I mean it," Li demanded. Finn insisted that Luna wouldn't be in his life. "It could have been different if Penelope had told me the truth," Finn said. Li apologized for seeming insensitive.

After Li left, Finn was surprised to see that Sheila was his next office guest. She said she saw Li leave, so it was a perfect time to visit. "Are you as excited as I am for the new addition to our family? Finn, you made me a grandmother all over again," Sheila said with glee.

As Sheila went on and on about how wonderful Luna was, Finn stopped her. "She killed two innocent men," Finn pointed out. Sheila asked Finn to consider what Lina would be like if she had Finn's loving influence. "Please, Finn, don't shut her out," Sheila begged.

Finn thought Sheila was right. If he had been there for her, Luna wouldn't have killed Tom and Hollis, nor would she have kidnapped Steffy. But she did, and because of that, blood or no blood, she's no daughter of mine," Finn said.

At Brooke's house, Deacon once again assured Hope that better things were coming and that she would have a bright future both professionally and personally. "If life doesn't give you a break, you go out there and you make your own," Deacon advised.

Hope told Deacon that he could also confide in her and mentioned that she was a good listener. Deacon admitted how he felt about Luna being Sheila's granddaughter.

"When it comes to Sheila, I just want her to have what I have. A relationship with her kids, with her grandkids, but my God, when it comes to Luna, that's not happening," Deacon said. He was sure that Sheila understood and was staying away from Luna. "She understands she can't have anything to do with Luna. Ever," Deacon added.

Hope wasn't as confident as Deacon that Luna would actually do as she promised, considering her history. "Dad, just be smart. I mean, this is Sheila we're talking about after all," Hope said. She even admitted that she felt bad for Steffy. "Luna Nozawa. Steffy's stepdaughter," Hope marveled.

Liam was glad when Bridget told him that there had been some improvement with his condition, but Finn didn't want to get his hopes up about being released any time soon.

Steffy and Liam then had a one-on-one talk."It's kind of nice to lie here and witness you and Finn just being you and Finn. How good you are for each other," Liam told Steffy. He then asked Steffy how she was handling the idea of Luna as Finn's daughter.

Bridget was also shocked by the news, but Steffy told Liam and Bridget that she was dealing with it. There was no way that Steffy would let Luna become part of her family. "I'll feel a lot better if you tell me Finn's on the same page and he wants nothing to do with Luna," Liam said.

Steffy told Liam not to even think about Luna because he had to focus on his health. "Are you not furious that Luna is out of prison because of my idiot dad?" Liam asked. Steffy said she was beyond furious, but she was going to fight to get Luna back in prison.

Liam noted that Finn had trouble kicking Sheila out of his life. He just worried he would have the same trouble when it came to Luna. Steffy wasn't worried. "I am confident that Finn will never allow Luna to become a part of our lives," Steffy assured Liam.
