The Bold and the Beautiful: Ooh la la, it's Steffy’s revenge

On The Bold and the Beautiful, the Forrester family's executives and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) gathered at the mansion. Amid a conversation about Carter’s betrayal and Hope being in his ear, Steffy may just be about to unleash the best plan to end all plans. Carter had informed everyone that the Forresters could return to work anytime they liked. This sounded absurd when he said it, as none of them wanted to work for or under Carter and Hope after what they pulled.

But Steffy said she would return to work, affect a smile as needed, and remain cordial to protect the family name and assets. However, Steffy also said she would stab Carter and Hope in the hearts for their betrayal — and had just the idea of how to do it. The perfect recipe for drama on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Steffy has a plan on The Bold and the Beautiful

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope (Annika Noelle) are so excited to expand their “global luxury brand” idea that they didn’t notice the wolf in sheep's clothing when it sauntered into the room.

Steffy may have sounded like she was just trying to raise morale and help her dad and Eric feel better, but she said she thought of a creative way to undermine Carter and Hope, and her plan really is rather genius. Of all the helpful things possible, her plan has a real chance of success.

Now, how would one go about undermining Carter and Hope and bringing them down? A frontal assault of a drawn-out legal battle would eat a lot of money and take a lot of time with no real guarantee of success. After all, this is The Bold and the Beautiful, and that wouldn't be a dramatic storyline. It would only strengthen Carter and Hope's resolve as they fight for something together. No, the key would be to make them turn on each other and cause a breakdown from within. There is a quote that says it best: “An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again. But one which crumbles from within? That's dead forever.”

Bringing down an enemy from within

How does that apply to The Bold and the Beautiful? Well, all one would need to do is have an empowered, strong, and confident, let's not forget, attractive woman to present themselves to Carter and Hope under the guise of aiding or adding to their vision of (who could forget this) a global luxury brand. If played right, Carter won't be able to help himself. Do we need to remind you of how he was gushing over Brooke and how she must be the new CEO? Carter does melt from the adoration of women, and if Steffy is right, he will again, and Hope will get jealous. Carter will defend it as just trying to ensure that whoever this lady is sees the vision and wants to be a part of it. I doubt it would take much batting of eyelids before Carter is caught in a compromising position and Hope and Carter collapse.

Where, oh, where could we find such a femme fatale? It just so happens she arrived today, and it looks like Steffy not only chose well, but this new threat is very much up to the task. Enter Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire). She arrived in the CEO's office like Sylvie on Emily in Paris and had the air of someone not accustomed to waiting or not getting exactly what she wanted. Daphne even stated that her time was limited, and she didn't make appointments. She was hailed as the best ‘nose’ in the business — even by her competition, Fanny Greyson — which means Daphne is touted as the best perfumist in Paris, an expert on creating fragrance compositions. Carter and Hope stated it was an honor to be in her presence, and with one swish of her scarf, a scent wafted around the room. Hope and Carter were enthralled. They asked what the intoxicating smell was that they were inhaling, to which Daphne replied, ”Forrester.”

Hook, Line, and Sink Her

And here we go. Carter said, “That’s beautiful,” as his eyes were firmly fixed on Daphne’s, and we could be forgiven if it was unclear which he meant: the fragrance, Daphne, or both. And as they say, and now…we wait.

Fanny (Elsa Esnoult), who was giving a presentation before being interrupted by Daphne’s' grand entrance, further baited the hook by saying that if Carter and Hope had the chance to work with the premiere nose of Paris, they should take it. Carter even said that it must have been their lucky day that she just happened to walk through their door.

Having contacts throughout the industry, Steffy would be well-positioned to call in a favor or two. Bonne chance, Madame Steffy. This twist might breathe some much-needed life back into what has become a less-than-engaging storyline.
