The Bold and the Beautiful: On this day 10 years ago

Casey Kasprzyk, the supervising producer for B&B, posted a story on his Instagram page today, marking this moment in history — and noted how the show had celebrated at the time with a special behind-the-scenes episode. The episode’s opening was narrated by John McCook, who plays Eric Forrester, as he described what was in store for the fans in this inside peek into the world of The Bold and the Beautiful.

It doesn't feel like it was only 10 years ago that our favorite show was marking 7000 episodes, but watching it is quite the trip down memory lane. Favorite storylines, favorite lines, and scenes are all contained within this unique look into what goes on to make the show we love and bring it to life every day. During the episode, Liam (Scott Clifton) rushes to John McCook’s dressing room to grab him as a woman's voice over the P.A. system announces he is needed on set. John tells the camera, “And now it’s finally time to go to work.”
For the many fans and viewers, it’s always exciting to see what happens and how these episodes are created and then put together. There are so many creative processes and many, many people that we do not see that are critical to getting the show not only out on time but looking the way we expect it to. The wardrobe and makeup departments keep the stars dressed to befit their characters' needs and consistently win awards for capturing the stars' individual looks and other tricks to depict bruises or injuries they may have sustained in their stories.
Where it all happens

The amazing set of B&B is quite amazing to behold. This time-lapse video shows how the team pulls it all together on the Bradley P. Bell stage 31. It starts with a huge, empty stage set, and then walls and partitions are put up to section off the space. Next, the lighting arrays, and finally, all the finishing touches like furniture and flowers and wall art, the staircases, as well as many doors. Although it’s a time-lapse and only takes a couple of minutes to watch The Bold and the Beautiful sets appear, the magic behind the scenes takes longer and is more arduous, but is still just that: magic.
