The Bold and the Beautiful: Li's rage for Poppy peaks

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Poppy's sister, Li (Naomi Matsuda), has always overtly held Poppy in contempt. Now, we are about to uncover the real reason why.

Like his previous talent to have Sheila Carter released, viewers thought Bill was up to some plot to get Luna permanently put away. But turned out to be the opposite of the last time he sprang a murderer from their jail cell: Bill’s gone soft, or at least his heartstrings have had a good tug.

Luna managed to convince Bill to help get her out of prison by finding their common bond: bad parenting. Hearing Luna’s claims that her mom had a revolving door of men come into her life along with a partying lifestyle triggered something for Bill. He thought he and Luna had the same unstable upbringing but had different life opportunities and choices. But, Bill and Luna aren’t the only ones judging Poppy’s past.

When we first got to know Luna and Poppy, we knew one thing for sure: Li Nozawa did not want her family coming to town. Li told Poppy that because of the affair she had with a doctor at a hospital where Li had worked, her sister brought shame to the family. Li also criticized Poppy as irresponsible and a poor parent to Luna.

But there’s always been one other thing that has nagged at Li about Poppy, and now we’re finally finding out what it is: Li has always wondered if Poppy and her husband, Jack Finnegan, had an affair, and if so, if Luna was their child.

This week, with the help of lab technician April (Jamison Belushi), Li is able to get some answers. Using the late Tom Starr’s liver, Li compares Luna’s blood samples from the lab to see if they match.

What happens next for the Nozawas

The Nozawa sisters’ contentious relationship comes to a head this week when Li confronts Poppy and accuses her sister of betraying her with her husband, Jack. Will Poppy admit the truth? Has Luna been Jack Finnegan's daughter all along and that was why she never told anyone about Luna's paternity?

For now, no one knows Luna’s at Bill’s thinking of ways to target Will Spencer. But Li is the one looking for reckoning, and with that kind of distraction, who knows how long it will take for anyone to notice that Luna’s no longer even in prison. But when they do, more sparks are going to fly as Li knows Luna killed two men because she was told that Tom was her father and Poppy knew the truth all along.
