The Bold and Beautiful has had its share of monumental arguments, fights, and blow-ups. Here are my top three where the characters ridiculously lost their cool or made a scene.

When push came to shove on The Bold and the Beautiful

In October 2018, The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Thorne (then Ingo Rademacher) confronted Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) at Bill’s house. Ridge and Thorne were there to convince Bill to stay away from Brooke, and if he didn’t, Thorne said that Bill might not see his son Will again. Bill, of course, likes to wind Ridge up. He refers to the brothers as “Fabulous fashion boys” and asks Ridge if his marriage is so fragile that Ridge has to prevent Bill from seeing Brooke. The fight broke out when Ridge said that the only friends Bill had were the people he paid and that when he died, no one would show up.

A pretty decent fight was underway, and the room was soon trashed with furniture knocked over. Thorne was knocked to the ground, and the struggle continued onto the balcony. Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful knew what would happen next. As Thorne got up, he heard Bill scream and saw Ridge stride right back into the house. Thorne raced to the balcony, and Bill was down below, sprawled on the grass. Bill survives this, of course, but he’s left in a coma in the hospital.

In 2010, The Bold and the Beautiful gave us another splashy fight scene. This time, no one was seriously injured. There were howls, name-calling, and hair-pulling, but the scene was more comical than deadly. Taylor (then Hunter Tylo) was walking through the carpark of Forrester Creations after having quite the argument with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Brooke, who was not about to be dismissed, followed Taylor to continue the discussion. Taylor was in no hurry to entertain any more of her words, so she ignored Brooke and went to her car. Brooke kept trying to get Taylor to argue with her and followed her toward the water garden. The two began to bicker again — and the topic was, of course, Ridge.

Things took a turn when Brooke called Taylor “an uptight therapist who couldn't satisfy Ridge.” Brooke then quipped about Taylor and Ridges's latest wedding and made a joke about the minister pronouncing them man and horse. Not stopping there, Brooke began to laugh and make noises in Taylor’s face. Hilarious as this was to watch, Taylor had had enough and shoved Brooke, who promptly fell into the Koi pond. Taylor laughed and said, “Now THAT is funny,” pointing at Brooke. However, Brooke was furious and ended up grabbing Taylor’s outstretched hand and hauled her into the pool with her. The resulting scuffle was more funny than anything, and it’s easy to see how much fun it would have been to film this. Okay, maybe not so much being in a koi pond, but the chemistry between the two actresses and the insults being flung must have cracked them up at some point.

Taylor even bet her stake in the company that Brooke couldn’t dunk her into the water again. Brooke leaped forward, but Taylor easily outmaneuvered her and escaped the pond. The scene ended with Brooke slapping the water in frustration and exclaiming it wasn't fair.

Leave the gun, take the cannoli on The Bold and the Beautiful

We were treated to the next altercation in October 2023, which took place at Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) restaurant, Il Giardino. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) had slipped in unnoticed while Sheila was waiting on a table. Li, with her face covered by a menu, waited for Sheila to approach the table. Li took away the menu and called Sheila a despicable and diabolical creature. Li asked if the rest of the restaurant knew that they were being served by a murderous psychopath and that Sheila made her sick to her stomach.

After Sheila poured Li a glass of water to settle her stomach, Li tossed it to the floor and exclaimed, “Whoopsie!” Sheila cleaned the mess with a mop while Li quipped, “You missed a spot,” and commented that Sheila must be good at mopping from being in prison. Li asked if she had to clean toilets as well, then to take it a step further, told Sheila she could have her old job back when she was back behind bars where she belonged. After more bickering, Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) arrived with a plate of spaghetti bolognese. Sheila said it was on the house as Li seemed ‘hangry.’ Li seized the opportunity for more mischief and called Sheila over, saying there was something in the sauce. Sheila said she couldn't see anything, so Li asked her to look closer. As Sheila leaned in, Li grabbed Sheila and smashed her face into the bowl, covering Sheila in pasta and sauce. Very classy, ladies, very classy. It didn’t turn into a food fight, but Li didn’t enact her “Nozawa Power” on Sheila, either. And let’s face it, there’s a lot worse things that she could have done to someone as deserving as Sheila.

Honorable Mention

The Bold and the Beautiful list is not complete without at least mentioning Brooke's recent slap to Ridge’s face — and her subsequent storming out of Forrester Mansion and shoving Taylor (Rebecca Budig) out of the way as she walked out the door. While it was only a few seconds, it was shocking and left a mark on the audience, and Ridge’s cheek. Maybe it was the build-up of Brooke squeezing his shoulder and running her hand gently to cradle his face first that did it. But when she hauled off and smacked him, that crack was cheered by many. And the two-handed grab-and-toss of Taylor moments later? Perfection! No koi pond or food fight was needed for that one.
