On The Bold and the Beautiful, this week's high points were Bill getting Luna released and Will saving Electra from Remy. What the heck did I just watch soap fans?

Have you ever watched a show and paused many times and wondered how? Why? And why again? That's been my week, and I'm telling you now that it's no coincidence that Luna is released when Remy got arrested, or did he? Electra mentioned it in passing, and that's all that was said about it but I’ll get to that a bit later.

In Bill we trust

So, after writing letters to Bill from prison, Luna convinced him to come and see her one more time. Upon this visit, Bill sees Luna is looking quite poorly and not adjusting to prison life well, but clearly has read the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” Maybe the visits to the prison library are going to pay off! Luna poured out her heart and claimed the inmates hated her, and she feared for her life daily. Is her winning personality going unnoticed? “Please, Bill, I know I killed Tom and Hollis, kidnapped Steffy, almost killed her, made you hate my mom, and got her locked up for the things I did, but I'm a good person. Please get me out of here!” Luna cried. On what planet would this happen? Ours.

Bill pulled more strings than Bryan Adams, and like his hit song Please Forgive Me had us charmed, so was Bill. Quicker than you can say, “That's not actually how it works,” Luna was released into Bill's custody on house arrest and fitted out with a snazzy new bracelet on her ankle.

Yes, I know it's a soap, but come on, Eileen. Even if the local court and justice system weren't overloaded, that stuff would take over a week to sort out. Judges would need to oversee a courtroom decision. There would be a hearing where the afflicted parties, like Poppy, could read a victim's impact statement, which would be considered before anyone was released. And a recent double murder should be all that was needed to bury Luna's chances of blue skies and more lies.

Which poses another question (shocking, I know). If Bill Spencer had that much power and more pull than a Dodge Ram, why did he not use that influence to get Poppy out of jail when she was the one behind bars?

It took Finn to rescue Steffy and Poppy's sister Li to chase Luna down to the basement, and in a scene out of a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, straight foot punch Luna to make Luna confess and therefore have Poppy released. Maybe it is selective; was it Luna’s first or second kiss that had Bill not thinking straight? Either way, Bill held back when Poppy was jailed.

This is the next smh moment du jour. After being fired and getting a pep talk from Deacon at Il Giardino, Electra needed to use the restroom. Of course, the restroom was under repairs. Being Captain Helpful, Deacon offered the apartment key to Remy’s lair because he assumed that Electra and Remy were such close friends that he wouldn’t mind him not only letting people in at will, but giving them the key. A simple calling out to Remy in the kitchen would have avoided breaking a few laws, but communication isn’t a strong point on B&B. We had mixed feelings about wanting Electra to find the photos up there but also not wanting to be found. But of course, it wasn’t long before Remy’s feature wall was seen, and Electra screamed (Remember this, it will be talked about again soon). Sometimes, The Bold and the Beautiful foreshadows well.

Electra realized all at once that not only is Remy the one who has been plaguing her existence since she lived in Dallas, TX, but the walls aren't that thick in Deacon's apartments — didn't anyone hear that scream?

Remy ignored the fact that his apartment was unlocked but noticed the bathroom light had been left on. He seemed to think it was odd, but it wasn't enough to have Stalky McStalker on edge yet.

Being a hard day for the poor lad, he washed his face and spotted movement behind him, turning and voila, the fly in the spider's web. Within minutes, Remy confessed to Electra that he had indeed sent the inappropriate images to Katie Logan at FC. Also, he was responsible for the AI photos back in Dallas that he sent to Electra's friends. This was all Electras' fault, though, as she needed to see that all her friends were fake and that only Remy loved her and was her only friend. With friends like that, who needs enemies, eh?

It's about here that the unbelievable becomes the absurd and in a comical way. Electra, after telling Remy that he’ll go to jail for this, knees the guy in the crotch. From what I've seen of Remy, I’m not sure that this should have injured or impaired him in any way. Electra flees the apartment with Remy in hot pursuit.

While this happens, Will, her champion, is in the CEO's office with Ivy, Katie, Hope, and Carter. The deepfakes have been exposed, and Katie is now alarmed that she fell for it and wants to put the considerable resources of Forrester Creations behind some awareness campaign. Bravo Katie.

The CEO’s office crowd comes to the consensus that Electra should be reinstated. Will, overjoyed, attempts to call his boo and give her the good news, but she ignores him because Electra is racing, well, let us say, ambling from Remy. We see construction workers ahead, and we now know that Electra has the capacity to scream, but she does not. No yelling for help, nor running towards the oddly placed construction workers. Were they part of the set design for The Bold and the Beautiful or working on a real project and not actually part of the scene as extras? It didn't matter since Electra exited stage right past them.

After making a sharp corner and hiding behind a little cement wall, Electra takes Will's call. They compare notes and he asks for her location. Cue the music, grab the keys, and rev your engines. Like a Bo & Hope throwback to Days of our Lives, Will dons his helmet and rides to his damsel's rescue on his valiant steed. Ok, it's a motorbike, but it sounded better with steed being Electras' knight in shining armor, right?

Elsewhere, Electra is playing the Running Man with Remy, who is attempting to be menacing and says things like "Marco…Polo…" and "Come out, come out wherever you are." Electra dashes from her hiding spot and, having never watched a horror movie, heads up the stairs. This is great because it lets us witness this comedy of Remy barely running, chasing Electra, just a step or two behind the whole way to a roof. I lost count of the times a simple reach or swipe would have grabbed her or tripped her ankles.

Remy should have caught Electra, stunned her, taken her away, and kept the suspense going, but this is The Bold and the Beautiful, not I Know What You Did Last Summer. Remy cornered Electra literally on the roof, and as the two grappled, the throb from a motorbike is heard, and Will is soon racing to the rooftop soiree.

And this is the best part, so hopefully you drew your eyes away from the reflection of the CBS logo on the building glass behind them to see it. Will let Electra struggle with Remy at the edge of the building just long enough so he can yell, “You're going to go down, Remy, you're going to jail,” etc. Sure, tell the guy with nothing to lose at this point that he's got nothing to lose. After shrugging out of Remy’s limp-wristed grip, Electra broke free, and Will rushed over. After a brief tussle, Will punched Remy, who fell down in a superhero pose and held it. Seriously, watch it again if you didn't catch it. After many hugs and “You're my hero,” the pitter-patter sound of footfalls indicated that the villain got away to fight…er...annoy Electra another day.

Of lesser note

The Bold and the Beautiful: Ridge and Eric Forrester | Image Source: JPI

Ridge is still getting closer to Taylor, and what will happen here is still up for grabs, but Eric told Ridge that his fondness for Brooke was fading, which is huge! Eric has never said anything like this before about their mutual ex-wife and mother of their children. I know it's weird that they have a family tree as nasty as the Targaryens of Westeros with more than its share of Dutch elm disease, but Eric has always had a soft spot for Brooke.

Brooke is still doing the worst job of convincing Ridge that all she did was because she loved him. Besides the scene with Will, where they reinstated Electra, we didn't see much of Carter or Hope, and I’m not unhappy about that. We have been swamped with the takeover for a little while, and this was a nice break.

Will saved the day, and his girl, Bill got the girl (released, that is), and it's alluded that the authorities caught Remy. All is well on The Bold and the Beautiful! But I have a feeling that Remy won't be in custody for long or at all, and with Luna out, it won't be long before those two share some screen time and scream time. It doesn't take much imagination to picture the kind of trouble that duo could bring about. But for now, we eagerly await the next episode of our favorite soap, and hopefully, you're all enjoying your holiday season.

Wow, you made it all the way to the end? You deserve a prize!... Just kidding, leave a comment instead.
