The Bold and the Beautiful History: Liam and Ivy's Relationship

Since the return of Ivy Forrester last year, fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have been anticipating the reunion of Ivy and Liam Spencer (or at least have their paths cross!). While we wait, let's take a look at how the relationship they used to have.

Liam and Ivy on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam and Ivy's relationship began when Ivy was working with Liam's fiance, Hope Logan (then Kim Matula). As Ivy and Liam got closer, Ivy learned of the troubled state of Liam's relationship with Hope. Ivy supported Liam throughout his difficult time and helped him make his relationship with Hope better. But Liam's engagement was fragile enough that when he was delayed getting to his wedding in Paris (Quinn had pushed Ivy into the River Seine and Liam wanted to rescue her), Hope got fed up and ran off to marry his brother Wyatt instead.

As Liam grieved over losing Hope, Ivy was there for him and helped him get over things. Things soon steamed up, but they were taking things slow when Liam's ex-wife, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) showed back up in Liam's life.

Steffy openly admits that she is still in love with Liam and made numerous sexual advances, most of which Liam turned down out of loyalty to Ivy. However, Liam and Steffy did end up making out at one point, and while eavesdropping, Ivy heard Liam turning Steffy down but wished he didn't have to. Needless to say, it caused a rivalry between Steffy and Ivy.

Liam and Ivy's marriage on The Bold and the Beautiful

Things got complicated when Ivy got a deportation notice. She proposed to Liam for marriage in an attempt to be able to stay in the country and not be returned to Australia. Liam agreed to marry Ivy but wanted to know that it was a marriage that only existed on paper as he also had feelings for Steffy.

Ivy eventually got together with Wyatt as a rebound, who proposed to her. However, when it was revealed that she still had feelings for Liam, the marriage was called off, and she returned to Australia.

Liam and Ivy's past relationship was complicated and had plenty of interference from Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy. Should they rekindle a romance this year, would Hope and Steffy once again try to split them up?
