On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric is back to his regular duty. That's being Brooke's champion and cheerleader. With all the events past, why is he resuming that role?
The Bold and the Beautiful's merry-go-round

The Bold and the Beautiful often repeats mistakes of the past and people return to doing things often proved to be wrong for all people concerned. It doesn't feel that long ago that Eric Forrester (John McCook) said to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was losing her shine, thats huge words for Eric, but even he saw that Brooke was blind to her daughter Hopes (Annika Noelle) actions, again and again and always tried to defend them with the “poor Hope” viewpoint. Finally Eric saw it and what a moment it was. No matter how you try to explain it, nothing justified what Hope and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) did, unless you're Brooke of course.

So why is Eric now cheerleading her again? This just doesn't make sense. Is he getting misty eyed reminiscing about when he and Brooke were together? The worst events in recent Forrester history were undertaken by Brooke’s daughter, Brooke will challenge her daughter to her face and tell her she was wrong, but to anyone else it’s back to poor Hope she’s had a rough go at it lately and can't no matter what be held accountable. Eric just happened to have Ridge and Brooke’s wedding photo on hand to show Ridge and get him back into his feelings about her. Which wedding was the photo from? There's been eight to choose from, eight. Ridge is showing all the signs of being perfectly happy and content, he chose Taylor over Brooke and told Brooke to her face that his future was with Taylor. That should be enough for his dad, you'd think. But still even now, Eric plots and schemes against Ridge with Brooke. Eric still calls her Ridge’s true love and “his Logan.” Hopefully taylors accidental trapping of Brooke and herself in the backroom will put a stop to the ridiculous showstopper at the Forrester fashion show.
The circle has gone around and around more than enough times and the fans, while sometimes having polar opposites in opinion, are all united in this. Enough of the Taylor-Ridge-Brooke triangle and the constant bouncing back and forth between each other. Personally I’m more interested in seeing if Carter and Daphne get together. Unpopular, I know, but we just want something to make sense.
