The Bold and the Beautiful: 5 Best Location Shoots

For The Bold and the Beautiful, the CBS studios are in Los Angeles, CA. But every now and again, the production shoots a storyline somewhere exotic, and here are my picks of the Top 5 B&B Filming Locations.

The Bold and the Beautiful visits the UAE

United Arab Emirates May/June 2014: Back when Bill (Don Diamont) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) were going to get married — and Ridge and Katie (Heather Tom) were engaged! — Ridge wanted to be a good ex-husband and show Brooke a photo of Bill and Quinn (Rena Sofer) together, so Brooke would call off the wedding. He took the private jet to Abu Dhabi, interrupted the ceremony, and ran off with Brooke to a waiting helicopter. However, the pilot was Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears), and under Bill’s orders, he dumped Ridge out mid-air and hurled him into the Persian Gulf, where he was presumed dead.

Always Bet On Brooke

Monte Carlo, Monaco: B&B has been filmed four times in the city of glamour, casinos, and luxury. Most recently, Brooke, Ridge, and Carter relaunched the Brooke’s Bedroom fashion line amongst the imagery of high-end shopping, opulent casinos, and the finest dining and hotels. The rich history and culture made the setting a fan favorite.

Liam and Steffy Go Down Under

The show was filmed twice in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Who can forget Liam and Steffy's wedding with the iconic Sydney Opera House in the background? The reception was at gorgeous Shelly Beach, a small cove at the southern end of Manly Beach, which is widely regarded as one of the best beaches in the world.

An Eiffel long way to go

In 2014, to celebrate 25 years of the show airing in France, our favorite soap jetted off to Paris and filmed with the instantly recognizable Eiffel Tower in the background. Bradley Bell, the show's executive producer and head writer, said that B&B was long overdue for a rendezvous with the world-renowned romance of Paris, France. Forrester Creations has its international office located in Paris, and this time, they took their cameras for a closer look. Three days of shooting were filmed, and the episodes aired in August 2014. In one of them, Quinn famously pushed Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) into the Seine River.

Honeymoon in Copenhagen

In 2015, we saw some beautiful footage of Rick and Maya's honeymoon when B&B went to picturesque Copenhagen, Denmark. The charming city is well known for its bicycles, canals, and hygge, a Danish concept combining coziness and contentment. Rick and Maya enjoyed some bliss, but many viewers found that hard to accept, as they had both been guilty of dastardly deeds done dirt cheap. At any rate, having the actual episodes shot in Denmark beat using stock footage, and the scenes were certainly pretty.

Honorable Mention:

There is one more exotic overseas filming location of merit. Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (then Kim Matula) got married in the Puglia region of Italy. The spectacular scenery and stunning backdrops didn't disappoint, nor did the show's writers. Of course, the day wasn't lacking drama, as thanks to Bill and Deacon, there almost wasn't a wedding.
