On The Bold and the Beautiful, viewers were shocked to see Electra (Laneya Grace) dismissed without explanation after Katie (Heather Tom) received heavily edited photos of her sent from the human refuse known as Remy (Christian Weissmann).
Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) witnessed Electra’s firing at the hands of Katie and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and the Forrester women were offered absolutely no reason or cause. We’re not even sure why Katie and Brooke were handling the situation, as Katie is the head of Public Relations, not Human Resources, and Brooke — what is her position again? At the time of the firing, Hope and Carter had no idea this was even happening across the hall, although it is fair to say they were a bit distracted.
But as alarming as this sudden shock is to two of the Forresters currently employed at their family's fashion house, there is a bigger betrayal about to make headlines.

Given that Ivy and Electra live with Eric Forrester (John McCook), it will not be long before Eric is brought up to speed about his grand-niece's sudden career shift. This should really light a fire under Eric. If he wasn't enraged enough over the takeover (let us stop saying the word coup. It's bad enough having to listen to Brooke say it like a pigeon), he’s going to be even more incensed after yet another attack on his family.
Electra’s firing could get lost in the shuffle as soon as the announcement is made that Brooke is the new CEO of Forrester Creations — and Ridge won’t be able to think about anything other than his feelings of betrayal. If there were hope for the future that he and Brooke could reconcile, it will surely be extinguished now. This will have Ridge look to Taylor for the support he feels Brooke should have been offering.
Meanwhile, Ridge is watching his father be heartbroken and feels heavy guilt for being tricked into losing Eric’s legacy. Ridge has vowed to his dad that he will take down Hope once and for all and get Forrester Creations back, come hell or high water.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Circling of the Wagons
There is a Chinese proverb: "A crisis is an opportunity riding a dangerous wind," meaning that opportunities often arise from crises. The Chinese word for crisis, Wei Ji, is made up of two characters: Wei, meaning danger, and Ji, meaning opportunity — and this is exactly what the Forresters face now. Ridge is determined to lead his family back into the boardroom, show Carter and Hope the door, and send them through it.
There is no way to ask Brooke to reason with Hope, as she has empowered them and raised the Hope and Carter flag high. It is a great idea to have Zende be the inside man to help Forrester remain a success until the day comes when they all stroll back in or storm the gates. Always the patriarch, Eric assuredly said to Ridge, Steffy, and Zende, “There is nothing they couldn’t do if they stuck together.”
The Forresters think that while Carter is savvy in the business world, he and Hope are clueless about how to run a fashion empire. As Ridge pointed out, Hope drove her line into the ground, she can’t steer the whole ship. Without help, they'll sink all by themselves, and the Forresters will throw no life rings. However, having Brooke take over as CEO is a game-changer in their wait-and-watch plan.
Can the Board of Directors come to the Forresters' aid? Who holds the majority stock in Forrester Creations? As Eric watches his legacy crumble to Carter’s expansion ideas, will it take a toll on his health or his relationship with Donna Logan? The more Eric suffers, the more Ridge is determined to right the ship.
