At Eric’s house, Ridge wondered why Taylor hadn’t reached out to him in Monaco. She claimed she knew how he was when he was busy, but he said he’d always make time for her. Taylor hadn’t wanted to be a distraction. Noting that there was always time for a cup of coffee or a meal, he asked why she hadn’t alerted him that she’d been there.

“You know the answer to that, Ridge,” Taylor replied. She claimed Brooke wouldn’t have been happy if she had crashed the romantic trip. Ridge said it had been a business trip. Taylor remarked about Steffy’s passport issue and guessed Brooke hadn’t minded. Ridge replied that Brooke had been focused on business. He admitted the city was beautiful.

Taylor told Ridge it wasn’t the kind of place he’d want to run into his ex-wife. Ridge said it was fine to run into him anywhere. Taylor figured Brooke would have accused her of stalking them, so she’d kept her distance, even though it had been a long time since she’d connected with him. He asked why she made it seem as if they were out of touch.

Taylor said she knew they called each other, “but just the two of us alone, talking like this?” Ridge admitted it didn’t happen very often. She missed it—and she missed him.

Ridge said he and Taylor would eventually wind up talking about the kids. They agreed that they related well for exes. The topic turned to Phoebe, and Taylor talked about their deceased daughter’s light. Taylor clung to the hope of seeing Phoebe again. Ridge said he saw Phoebe in Kelly, and Taylor remarked that Steffy and Thomas were amazing parents.

Taylor was grateful for all she and Ridge had, especially since life was so fleeting. Taking her hands, Ridge remarked that she was home. He hoped she’d stay awhile and that there wouldn’t be any reason for her to leave. Taylor figured that Brooke didn’t want her there.

Ridge told Taylor not to think that way, because Brooke knew how important Taylor was to his family. He believed Brooke would welcome her—though maybe not with open arms. Taylor asked why Brooke and Ridge hadn’t gotten married. Ridge didn’t know. He said they hadn’t discussed it, and maybe it was because they’d done it before. Taylor assumed it wasn’t necessary.

Ridge joked that he always felt like he was on Taylor’s couch. Taylor claimed she didn’t want to put him on the spot. She said they’d shared a lot, and he had helped shape her as a woman. She assumed she had helped shape him as a man, and he affirmed it. Taylor didn’t want to hide her feelings. She had thought they’d grow old together, and he’d always be the love of her life.

In Eric’s office, Donna, Katie, and Brooke had lunch and discussed how to field calls about Steffy’s ordeal with Luna. Katie said to direct the inquiries to the police and thanked God that Steffy was okay. Donna said it was thanks to Finn. Donna remarked that Steffy and Finn had an unbreakable bond and would always find their way back to each other. It reminded Donna of another couple she knew—Brooke and Ridge, who had that same connection.

“Like you and Eric?” Katie asked. Brooke decided that the Logans had been lucky in love. “Not all of us!” Katie replied. Donna recalled that Bill and Katie had shared special times together. Katie said they hadn’t overcome things like Brooke and Ridge had. Brooke said she and Ridge had endured, and she felt good about being with the man she was meant to spend her life with.

Donna and Katie swooned over Brooke and Ridge’s love, which had grown stronger over the years. Brooke agreed but said it hadn’t always been waterfalls and rose petals. Katie and Donna wholeheartedly endorsed Brooke and Ridge. Thanking them, Brooke said Donna had her honey bear, and things looked good for Katie and Bill. Brooke said one couldn’t give up on the power of love, especially one rich with memory and history.

Continuing to laud Brooke and Ridge, Katie noted that the couple had overcome some obstacles more than once. Donna remarked upon one that kept popping up. “Taylor,” Brooke replied. Brooke said that in the past, she had worried that Taylor would try to steal Ridge from her. Katie offered to have Brooke’s sisters look out, just in case. Brooke said they didn’t have to. She wasn’t on alert like she had been before. She had complete faith in Ridge.

At the cliff house, Finn said he understood why Steffy had warned Hope. Steffy stated she knew Finn hadn’t kissed Hope back. Finn replied that he only wanted to kiss his sexy wife.

After kissing Steffy, Finn said he still couldn’t stop thinking of what could have happened if he had arrived late at the construction site. Steffy said she’d known he would save her. Finn said he’d gotten her back, and he’d never let her go again. She told Finn she had needed time alone with him, even though she’d enjoyed being back with family.

All the time Steffy had been in the cage, she had feared she’d never see Finn and the kids again. She’d close her eyes and see his face. She could hear his voice and feel his arms around her. Finn hugged her and said he’d never let her go again.

Steffy and Finn took it to the bedroom, where they made love. Afterward, they cuddled. Finn assured her that she was the most important person in the world, and he was hers. He said she never had to question or doubt his love. Steffy replied that his faith had kept her alive and had brought her home. They expressed love for each other and kissed.
