Luna thanked Bill and said that any woman would be lucky to have him on their side. She leaned in and kissed him on the lips as a horrified Steffy watched from the foyer.
Steffy listened as Bill told Luna that she could not kiss him. Luna explained that she felt a connection to Bill and that ever since they'd met, she felt like he was a missing piece in Luna’s life. Luna spotted Steffy in the mirror and stopped talking.
Bill told Luna that he understood that the situation was disorienting, but he still felt like Luna's father and wanted to get her some help. Luna thanked him and said she needed to take care of some things. She rushed out while Steffy hid out of sight. A moment later, Steffy followed Luna out the door without Bill seeing, but she forgot her phone on the table.
Brooke told Ridge it had been a surprise seeing Taylor. Brooke assured Ridge that she was also worried about Hope interfering in Steffy’s marriage, and Brooke said she would keep an eye on Hope. R.J. arrived and told his parents that Luna was not Bill’s daughter. Katie walked in as R.J. explained that they had done a second DNA test and that Bill had been ruled out as Luna’s biological father.

Katie recounted her theories and suspicions about Poppy to Ridge, Brooke, and R.J. Katie assumed that lying about Luna’s paternity was all part of Poppy’s plan, but she felt bad for Luna being affected by her mother's lies.
Bill told Li about the second paternity test and that the results had been negative, so he'd had them redone and gotten the same results. He asked Li if she had manipulated the results of the original test.
Li told Bill that she and Poppy had never been close, and there was no reason she would have helped Poppy by faking the test. Bill said somebody had rigged the test, and he asked if she thought it was Poppy. Li said that Poppy was a gold-digger, but even Li, who didn't trust Poppy at all, couldn’t believe that Poppy would do that. Li thought that Poppy had been set up.
Luna went to her old apartment and talked to herself because she was stressed that Steffy had seen her kiss Bill. Steffy walked in behind her. “I know what you’re up to, Luna,” Steffy said.
Luna told Steffy that she was not Bill’s daughter. Steffy said that she had seen Luna kiss Bill. Steffy called what Luna was doing wrong. Luna handed Steffy some iced tea to drink as she rambled about how she was confused with everything going on. Steffy pointed out all the people Luna would affect by kissing Bill.
Steffy deemed it very out of character for Luna to have kissed Bill. Steffy pointed out that Luna had been living with R.J. at the beach house and had moved to Bill’s estate. Steffy realized while talking that Luna had had a lot to lose if Tom’s claims had gotten out. “That’s why you kissed Bill. You want him all to yourself,” Steffy said.
“Is that who you are? Someone who will do whatever it takes to get whatever you want, even if it means murder?” Steffy asked. Steffy realized her theory was right, and Luna just smiled. Steffy was shocked, but she lost focus and collapsed to the floor.
