At Forrester, Steffy told Brooke that sales and Internet traffic were successful for Brooke's Bedroom. Steffy was happy with the momentum and wanted it to continue. Brooke said it would mean a lot to Ridge to see her and Steffy getting along. Steffy agreed that they both loved Ridge, but someone else in his life loved him as much as they did. "My mom," Steffy said.
Brooke said that she was aware that Taylor loved Ridge. Steffy added that Ridge loved Taylor, too, and they had a special bond. Brooke agreed that it was great that Taylor was back in town, but Brooke assured Steffy that Ridge's life and future were with Brooke.
Steffy said she was not trying to play matchmaker for her parents. Brooke said she wasn't jealous or threatened but was happy to hear Steffy say that. Brooke said that, as adults, they could all make their own decisions and be willing to accept them, as well. Steffy said she was all for people doing what they wanted, but she reminded Brooke that Ridge would always care about Taylor.
Brooke asked why it was hard for Steffy to believe Brooke wanted Steffy's family to be happy. Steffy asked if Brooke was worried about having Taylor back around Ridge. Brooke insisted she was not. Brooke said that Taylor needed to be with her children, and Brooke understood that.

After lunch, Will returned with Katie to her office. He said he was serious about transferring schools to L.A. so he could look out for his mom. She told him he didn't need to do that, but Will wasn't so sure.
Will asked Katie if she was considering reuniting with Bill, and she hesitated to answer. Katie was interrupted by a call, but the moment she hung up, Will pressed her for an answer. Katie said that she and Bill hadn't been together in a long time, but she was drawn to the idea of reuniting for Will's sake.
Will said he did not need his parents back together. Katie said that Bill had hurt her tremendously, and she wasn't sure if she could go through it again. Will told his mom that Bill would always say she was his world, but Bill never followed through. Will said he didn't want that for Katie. "I don't want that pain and disappointment, so don't go back to him. Don't go back to him for me," Will said.
Katie appreciated Will's concern but said she was responsible for her happiness, not him. Katie changed the topic to Will working as an intern at Forrester. Katie showed Will a promo video and explained all the areas of Forrester's international opportunities. Katie said she knew Will would thrive wherever he was, and she would love to spend time with him. "You never know, working at Forrester could change your life," Katie said.
Taylor reiterated to Ridge that she had heart failure and was dying. She hadn't wanted Ridge to find out that way, but she didn't have long to live. Ridge was in disbelief. Ridge slowly realized that what she was saying was true.
Ridge talked himself through the realization that Taylor was serious. He kept saying that she was going to be fine, but Taylor explained that her condition was progressive. Ridge asked how Taylor had found out. Taylor said she'd had chest pains and fatigue and ignored it for a long time. She'd seen a doctor, and he'd told her that she had heart failure.
Taylor said that when she had gotten the diagnosis, she had returned home. She asked Ridge not to tell anyone. "I don't want Steffy to know I'm dying," Taylor cried. Ridge wanted to tell their children, but Taylor didn't want to burden then. Ridge said that she had gone to L.A. to be with her family, and she should let her family be there for her.
Taylor begged Ridge to respect her wishes and trust her to know what she needed. She told him to forget what he knew. "Okay, so I'll forget that you were laying there, lifeless and pale, that's what I'm forgetting," Ridge clarified. Taylor asked him again not to tell anyone, and Ridge agreed. Taylor shared that she had talked to Li. As Li had also suggested, Ridge wanted Taylor to see another doctor, but Taylor thought it was futile.
Ridge thought Taylor was being a defeatist, but she insisted she was not. Ridge said the best doctors in the world were in L.A., and he wanted Taylor to see them. Ridge said he would decide what to do if Taylor couldn't make the right choices. He insisted that Taylor see a doctor and that he would go with her. Ridge said that Eric had done the same thing when he had been sick; he had kept it a secret.
Taylor said she didn't want to tell Steffy because she didn't want to hurt her. Ridge agreed not to tell Steffy if Taylor went to the hospital for treatment. Ridge told Taylor that her family needed her, and so did he. "How do you not know how important you are to me? How do you not see that? I'm not going to lose you," Ridge said as Taylor ran into his arms.
