At Il Giardino, Deacon told Justin and Bill that the restaurant had been cleared to open again, but there was still a killer on the loose. Deacon had more questions than answers and needed to know how his friends had died. It was suspicious that both men would develop an addiction and overdose in the same week. It had to be murder, and Deacon vowed to make the perpetrator pay.

As Deacon seated guests, Justin worried that Deacon was becoming a conspiracy theorist. Bill didn't blame Deacon for being worked up. Justin said he'd meet Bill back at the office, but Bill announced that he was done for the day. Patting Justin's shoulder, Bill remarked that he'd brought "his man" back so he wouldn't have to work so hard. Justin noted Bill's smile and said Bill's daughter brought out the best in him.

At Bill's house, Poppy was outraged by Katie's accusations, but Katie insisted that Poppy was giving off all the right signals. Katie didn't believe it was a coincidence that the deceased Tom had performed on the night that Luna had supposedly been conceived, and Katie wondered if Poppy was struggling to hide her past relationship with him.

Katie wasn't sure if Poppy was a free spirit or a murderer desperate to hang onto a rich man. Luna entered and asked why Poppy was upset. Poppy said Bill's ex-wife had no boundaries, had barged into their home uninvited, and had accused Poppy of murder.

Dumbfounded, Luna stammered, asking if Katie really thought Poppy would kill someone. Poppy indicated it was two people, the deceased from Il Giardino. Deciding that Katie's accusations were inappropriate, Luna said Katie didn't know what she was talking about or know Poppy, who'd struggled while raising Luna.

Katie noted that Poppy had a sugar daddy and was no longer struggling. "My mother doesn't even let me kill a spider!" Luna exclaimed, and she asked Katie to leave. Katie warned that it wasn't over and marched out of the house through the terrace.

Luna was rattled by Katie's words, but Poppy didn't want Luna to worry about the ridiculous allegations. Luna knew Katie was wrong but wondered if it would become a problem if Katie persisted. Poppy was outraged that Katie was jealous enough to make up stories about the new woman in Bill's life. Poppy said that if Katie was smart, she'd never mention it again.

Luna hugged Poppy, and Bill arrived, sensing he'd walked in on something. Luna claimed they'd just been bonding and talking about their past struggles. Luna mentioned that their apartment was set to be torn down, and they were just waiting for the demo permits. "We're the only holdouts left," Luna stated. Bill said they never had to worry about anything like that again.

Poppy thanked Bill. She and Luna had struggled, and they never wanted to be without Bill or their family again. Poppy loved Bill very much, especially for being Luna's father. Bill vowed that no one would ever take it away from them.

In the design office later, Katie asked R.J. to tell her everything he knew about Poppy. Katie was curious because Poppy lived where Will sometimes resided. R.J. indicated that the mother and daughter weren't completely moved in. Luna stayed with him at times, and Poppy still had the apartment. Katie expressed her concern that Poppy's innocent routine was an act.

Aware that Poppy was part of the falling-out that Luna and R.J. had had, Katie urged him to tell her if he had any secrets about Poppy. R.J. said he and Luna were fine, and he didn't think it was his place to tell. He didn't want to go back to thinking about it. Katie pressed R.J. to tell her, and R.J. murmured that Poppy had accidentally drugged Luna.

Katie blinked in disbelief and asked what kind of drugs. R.J. didn't know anything except that it had been a hallucinogen. "Bill has moved a drug addict into his house?" Katie asked. R.J. said Poppy had claimed she'd stopped taking them. Katie glared at R.J. and stated that she wasn't completely wrong about Poppy. In his view, Poppy was a nice person, but she had a dark side.

As R.J. prepared to leave for the cutting room, he asked Katie not to share the information with anyone. Alone, Katie gasped, wondering if the same drug had killed Tom and Hollis. "Oh, my God. Bill!" she exclaimed, worried that he could be in danger.

In a photoshoot area, Hope hugged the lingerie-clad Brooke, and Zende rushed in with a camera, apologizing to Ridge for being late. Zende had already coordinated with the social media team, and the pictures he'd take that day would drop once Steffy, Ridge, and Brooke were in Monte Carlo. While Steffy whispered to Finn that she wished Brooke would just stay at home, Hope told Brooke that three was a crowd on what could have been a romantic trip.

Music played, and Brooke climbed onto the bed. She posed as Zende snapped photos. Brooke changed clothes, and an artist touched up her makeup. Steffy leaned toward Ridge and said he could change his mind. "Why? She's gorgeous," he responded, mesmerized by Brooke. Steffy agreed but said the line was fine without putting Brooke front and center. Ridge questioned why they'd settle for fine when they could be great with Brooke.

Ridge wandered off, and Hope approached Steffy to remark on how well Brooke was doing. Steffy said they didn't need Brooke to be front and center or to go to Monte Carlo. Hope was surprised Steffy was still planning on joining Brooke and Ridge. "Of course, I'm going to go. It's gonna be a huge comeback for Brooke's Bedroom," Steffy said.

Reiterating that it was Brooke's Bedroom, Hope indicated that her mother wasn't the one who needed to take a step back from it. Hope asked if Steffy really wanted to play the third wheel on a trip that would turn into a romantic getaway for Ridge and Brooke.

Steffy walked off, and Hope gave Finn a side glance. As Brooke turned, she noticed Hope's eyes on Finn. Zende coaxed Brooke to put her mind back into the shoot.

As the shoot continued, Ridge asked Steffy not to be late for the jet because the prince wanted to see Brooke first thing when they landed in Monte Carlo. Steffy said the one to worry about was Brooke, who always left her packing until the last minute.

Once the shoot ended, Zende and Ridge went over photos. Across the room, Brooke revealed that she'd seen Hope looking at Finn. Hope brushed it off, saying it was fine, but Brooke didn't agree. "He's Steffy's husband. So, stop it!" Brooke exclaimed in hushed tones. Hope glanced at Finn again, and Brooke insisted that Hope had to stop looking at Finn.

"I'm not a homewrecker. I'm just having a little fun," Hope claimed. Brooke asked Hope to refrain from doing that, but Hope insisted that it was all in fun.

Ridge thanked Zende for showing them what he could do with a camera. Congratulating Brooke on the shoot, Ridge said she'd light up the world again because she was forever beautiful, forever sexy, and forever Brooke. Hope smiled and glanced at Finn as Brooke and Ridge kissed.

In Eric's office, Zende excitedly showed his bedroom line photographs to Steffy and Ridge. Zende was proud of their team for getting everything edited, uploaded, and ready to go so quickly. Zende said that he was a fast packer if they needed him in Monte Carlo. Steffy quipped that they were already traveling with one too many. Ridge burst out in cynical laughter.

In the corridor, Hope and Brooke cooed about the trip, and Brooke joked about being adored by the prince. Hope thought it was a shame Steffy would be tagging along. Hope and Brooke joined the others in Eric's office and reviewed the photos Zende had. "I can't wait to take Monaco by storm!" Brooke said, and Ridge replied that he couldn't wait to watch her do it. Steffy rolled her eyes as Brooke and Ridge kissed.

Ridge asked Steffy if she would ride with him and Brooke, but Steffy had things to do and would meet them at the airport. He asked her not to be late. As Ridge and Brooke checked their passports, Hope whispered to Brooke to have a good time, despite Steffy.

After Brooke and Ridge left, Hope remarked that it was obvious Steffy didn't want Brooke on the trip. Steffy recalled that the trip had originally been just for her and Ridge. Hope suggested Steffy skip the trip to let Ridge and Brooke have some time alone. Steffy rolled her eyes and explained that it wasn't a honeymoon but a business trip, and she was going. Hope kept trying to talk Steffy out of going. "I don't want to hear this. Goodbye," Steffy said, leaving the office. Hope noticed Steffy's passport on the desk and rushed to the elevator, calling for Steffy.

When Hope reached the elevator, Steffy said she had already told Hope that Steffy didn't want to hear it. Hope tried to say something, holding up the passport, but the elevator doors closed. "Bon voyage, Steffy," Hope quipped. Returning to the office, Hope guessed Steffy wouldn't be going to Monte Carlo, after all.

At the airport, Brooke and Ridge checked in. Brooke asked for one more snuggle before she had to avoid Steffy's glares. Ridge was confident that Brooke and Steffy would work things out. Ridge reminded the pilot to wait for Steffy.

Aboard the jet, Brooke asked if Ridge would be sketching nonstop. Halting his pencil, Ridge said he had to get his ideas on paper. She felt he'd been working too much, but he explained that he had to focus on couture, too, not just the bedroom line. Brooke noted that he'd also been helping HFTF, and she wanted him to take a break and enjoy Monte Carlo. He promised to put the pencil down in ten minutes. He glanced around, noting that Steffy wasn't there.

Ridge texted Steffy, asking where she was. At that moment, Steffy was at the gate, searching her bags for her passport. The pilot checked his watch as Steffy searched every bag she had. "Where's my passport?" she asked.

At Bill's house, Bill kissed Poppy and reassured her about their family, saying she didn't have to worry about the apartment demolition. Poppy seemed out of sorts and admitted that it had to do with his ex, who didn't like or trust her. Bill acknowledged that things could be awkward when an ex was around. Poppy wasn't bothered by that; she said Katie had been questioning her about Tom Starr's death.

Poppy explained that Tom had been a popular singer back in the day and had even been at the festival they'd attended. He'd been the first to die at Deacon's restaurant. Bill said he'd talked to Deacon about that. Crying, Poppy said she should have told Bill something a long time before. Bill asked what she was talking about.

Poppy admitted that she'd known Tom, and they'd "kind of" dated when she'd been in the Bay Area. Bill asked if she meant the busboy. Poppy agreed, saying it had been barely a blip, and he'd sent her letters, "claiming that..." She had returned all the letters because, by then, he'd been a drug addict living on the streets. "I'm having a little problem following this," Bill said.

With great difficulty, Poppy revealed that Tom had been claiming to be Luna's father. Bill was surprised and asked why she was just telling him that. She replied that she hadn't been hiding it, and it hadn't mattered after the paternity test. Bill recapped that Tom, who'd had a relationship with her, had thought he could be Luna's father.

In the design office, Katie looked at an old article about Bill's music festival. She refused to believe Tom's performance there had been a coincidence. She flashed back to telling Poppy she'd find out what was really going on. "Who are you, Poppy Nozawa?" Katie asked.

Later, Katie showed up in Li's office, hoping Li could confirm something Katie had learned about Poppy. "Does Poppy take drugs?" Katie asked. Li pursed her lips and seemed annoyed. Li revealed that her sister had, but not any longer. Katie wondered if it had stopped before or after the deaths of the Il Giardino employees. Li asked what Katie was implying.

Katie said Poppy had been a fan of Tom Starr's, and he'd played at the same festival Poppy and Bill had attended. Li remembered that those "stupid concerts" had been all Penelope had cared about back then, and it probably had been where she'd started the mints. Katie said Poppy was lucky not to end up like Tom and Hollis -- unless their overdoses had been intentional.

"You keep bringing up these two dead men as if they are connected with my sister," Li noted. Katie blinked in response. Li asked if Katie was saying Poppy had something to do with Tom's death. "Are you saying it's a possibility?" Katie replied.

At the airport, Ridge was on the jet with Brooke, frustrated that Steffy was late. Meanwhile, at the gate, Captain Stevens caught sight of flying hair extensions and a bikini top as Steffy desperately tossed items from her bag, searching for her passport. She apologized, wondering where it was.

Ridge called Steffy, yelling that they were about to lose their takeoff slot. Steffy explained that she was at the gate but couldn't find her passport. Ridge asked to speak to the captain, who said there was nothing he could do, and they'd lose their landing slot if they didn't leave, making them late for their meeting with the prince. Steffy took her phone back from the captain and told Ridge to go ahead without her.

In the air, Ridge felt terrible that Steffy hadn't made the flight. Brooke said she was sorry. He replied that it was important to Steffy, and she should be there. Brooke reasoned that they would have a fabulous, wonderful time, just the two of them. They kissed.

In Eric's office, Hope smirked, holding Steffy's passport and flashing back to Steffy rebuffing Hope's attempt to give it to her at the elevator. "I did try," Hope said, snickering. She figured that the jet would take off at any moment without Steffy.

Carter arrived, and Hope hid the passport under some papers on the desk. He figured Ridge, Brooke, and Steffy were in the air, headed for Monte Carlo. Aware that Hope had wanted the trip to be just Brooke and Ridge, Carter reasoned that it had been important for Steffy to go, too. Hope balked at first, but when he turned to leave, she agreed that it would be a shame if Steffy wasn't there.

Carter stuck around. He was sure things would work out just fine on the Riviera and that no one would fight in front of the prince. Hope wasn't sure Ridge, Brooke, and Steffy wouldn't fight in front of royalty. He got an alert for a meeting. As he left, he said he hadn't meant to upset her earlier. He'd just felt that Steffy, Ridge, and Brooke representing Forrester was right.

Hope agreed. Carter exited, and Hope murmured that she agreed all the necessary people would be there. Steffy stormed in, and Hope asked why she wasn't on the jet to Monaco.

Steffy ignored Hope's questions as she tore up the desk, looking for something. Once she found her passport, Hope asked if Brooke and Ridge had taken off without her. "You got what you wanted, Hope. My father and Brooke on a plane to Monte Carlo without me," Steffy snapped. Hope smirked.

In Li's office, Katie continued to press Li about Poppy's drug habit and its possible link to the deaths at Il Giardino. Katie added that Poppy was really defensive about her link to Tom and the music festival where she'd met Bill. Katie asked if it was possible that Poppy and her drugs were responsible for Hollis and Tom's deaths.

Li said she wouldn't go as far as to "give her credit" for the overdoses. Li said "Penelope" had been deceitful in the past, broken up marriages, and relied on rich men. Katie quipped that it was a glowing review and was making the case for Katie. "I wasn't done," Li replied, insisting that Poppy might be a manipulator, but wasn't capable of what Katie was suggesting.

Katie believed Poppy was manipulating Bill, who'd also been at the same concert as Poppy and the deceased Tom the night Luna had been conceived. Having had enough, Li said two workers had died of the same drug, and she could say with complete certainty that Bill was Luna's father.

Li saw Katie's frustration and said she got it. After all, Poppy was Li's sister. Katie asked why Li couldn't see the truth. Li pointed out that she'd conducted the test herself because she'd had her own questions. However, there was no mistaking the truth; Poppy and Luna were part of the Spencer family. Li said it didn't take a genius to figure out that Sheila had been behind the deaths.

Katie said she would agree with that normally, but Sheila had already been questioned and released. Li concluded that the killer -- if there was one -- was still out there.

At Bill's house, Poppy sobbed, sorry she hadn't told Bill about Tom sooner. Bill was having a hard time grappling with the idea that Tom had thought he was Luna's father. Poppy insisted that her heart had always belonged to Bill.

Bill empathized with Poppy, thinking of how the washed-up singer had stalked her. Poppy assumed Bill wasn't angry with her, but he said he was still processing it. He could understand how Poppy wouldn't want Luna involved with Tom. Poppy hugged Bill. She thanked him for understanding and said that, deep down, she'd always known Bill was Luna's father.

Poppy didn't blame Bill if he was questioning things. Bill said Li hadn't wanted him to be the father, and she'd performed the test. Bill didn't question whether he was Luna's father. Poppy said he continued to amaze her. She admitted she'd held a grudge because he'd never called or tried to find her. Her walls had been up, but he'd broken them down. She thought he was an amazing, kind, and understanding man.

Bill didn't know if he deserved all that praise, but Luna and Poppy meant a lot to him. He figured that Poppy had been wondering if it was all worth it, in light of Katie's questions and the guy from the past. Poppy said she'd never wondered that. He told her that Katie was being protective, but he believed Poppy and was still there for her. Poppy and Bill hugged.

Later, an unknown person entered Bill's house and headed upstairs.

In the bedroom, Poppy wished she'd confided in Bill sooner. Bill said he was good if they never spoke about Tom Starr again. Poppy was grateful for the man Bill had become and the father he already was. There had always been a missing piece to the puzzle, and it had been Bill. She was happy to have a family with him. Bill replied that nothing would tear them apart.

As Bill and Poppy kissed on the bed, someone approached the bedroom and opened the door. Poppy screamed.

In the design office, R.J. wondered what he had to do to get time alone with Luna outside of work. Luna was sorry that she'd been spending less time with him, but she'd been focused on becoming a family with her parents. Walking in, Katie said it was good, but she hoped Poppy remembered that Bill had other family.

Though Luna didn't want to be disrespectful, she felt that Katie's accusations had been uncalled for. R.J. was shocked when Luna elaborated that Katie suspected Poppy in the Il Giardino deaths, which had been overdoses. Katie said there might also be a murderer on the loose.

R.J. and Luna indicated that Katie's accusations were over the line. Katie replied that she didn't want to think about Bill being with someone like that. "He isn't," Luna shot back. Katie noted that Poppy freaked out every time the subject came up, but Luna figured Poppy might feel attacked. R.J. suggested that it wasn't Poppy; it was Katie who felt weird about the changes in Bill's life.

Katie chuckled. R.J. reasoned that Bill had tried to win her back for a long time, and he was moving on to a serious relationship. Katie insisted that it was concern, not jealousy, because it had happened way too fast. Luna concluded that Katie's real problem was Luna and Poppy being in Bill's life. Katie asked why Poppy had waited so long to reveal Bill as Luna's dad.

Luna wouldn't hold it against her mother for doing what her mother had thought had been best, and Luna said they were happy. Katie said Poppy seemed edgy to her. Luna replied that it had been a huge and amazing change, and Bill loved them. They were family, and Luna suggested Katie get used to it. With that, Luna left to be with her parents.

Katie claimed she hadn't meant to upset R.J. and Luna. R.J. figured it was his fault for telling Katie about the mints. "Oh, you mean her drugs?" Katie asked.

R.J. didn't get why Katie was suggesting Poppy had murdered someone. "You said you had a feeling? Why are you thinking this?" he asked. Katie explained that Poppy hadn't remembered that Tom Starr had played at the festival where she'd met Bill. R.J. asked if Katie remembered every band she'd ever seen. Katie claimed it had been the most magical night of Poppy's life, but Poppy hadn't remembered the band she and Bill had heard.

It didn't seem right to Katie, and she didn't trust Poppy. It also didn't seem right that Bill, who'd always been so cautious, had just moved Poppy and Luna in to create an instant family. Katie stated that family was important to Bill and could also be a big blind spot for him. R.J noted that Katie seemed to have a hard time accepting the paternity test results. Katie claimed it wasn't about her. He asked if she was sure. "You don't have questions about this?" she asked.

R.J. asserted that he wasn't questioning whether Poppy was a psychotic murderer, and Luna was right about it being insane. "What if she's not?" Katie asked. Sighing, R.J. said the conspiracy thing wasn't good for Katie. Finding Bill had been a dream come true for Luna, and he thought it was good for everyone, even Will, who had gotten a sister.

At Bill's house, Bill and Poppy shed clothing as they made out on the bed. Someone opened the bedroom door, and Poppy screamed. Bill inched to the slightly opened door and was relieved to see Will in the hallway. Bill attempted to introduce Will to Poppy, but with one look at her, Will took off. Poppy groaned with embarrassment as she and Bill got dressed. Bill rushed out to try to catch Will before he left the house.

Downstairs, Will gazed at himself and his family in photos on the mantel. Bill arrived with his arms wide open. Will hugged his father, who apologized for what Will had walked in on. "Just tell me. Is that her?" Will asked. Will guessed he should have called first.

Happy to see his son, Bill said it was Will's home. Will asked Bill to answer the question. Bill replied that it had been Poppy. She was important to Bill, and he wanted Will to meet her appropriately. Will declined. Bill said it didn't have to be awkward. Will asked about his mom and whether she was completely out of the picture. "Do you see her at all?" Will asked.

Poppy entered, saying she'd heard a lot about Will. She apologized that they'd met that way. Will said it was fine, and he'd go. Disappointed, Bill and Poppy tried to convince Will to stay.

Just then, Luna arrived, greeting Bill as "Dad." Will reacted with surprise, and Luna asked who he was. Bill said Will was her brother, and Bill introduced Will to his sister.

Luna and Will greeted each other. Bill tried to coax them into a hug, but Will wasn't ready for the hugging thing yet. He decided he'd stay with his mother, but Bill said Will's room was ready for him. Will decided that they'd catch up another time. Poppy offered to go to the apartment with Luna, but Bill refused to consider it.

Bill said he'd raised Will to be respectful, and he asked Will to show kindness. Will said it was Bill's deal, and Will wasn't a part of it. "Yes, you are!" Bill exclaimed. Will stated that Bill had hooked up with Poppy a hundred years back, and Will was expected to act like it was his family. "Hell, no," Will decided and walked out.

In the Forrester corridor, Hope listened in as Steffy and Carter discussed her missed flight. Steffy had wanted to meet with the prince, but no other flight would have gotten her to the meeting on time. Hope smirked as Steffy said she couldn't believe she'd misplaced her passport.

Hope entered the office, figuring that Ridge and Brooke were having a nice flight, just the two of them. Steffy murmured that it was a business trip, not a romantic getaway. Carter received a text update from Ridge about his and Brooke's arrival at the palace. Steffy concluded that she couldn't meet the prince, but she was there, ready to focus on other lines -- like HFTF.

Steffy said she and Carter had had time to dig into the numbers. Carter explained that they'd gone over the media interest, the preview requests, the churn rate for the sub boxes, and Internet traffic. Historically, Hope's base had been engaged. Her philanthropic numbers were good. Steffy reasoned that it wasn't great, and though Steffy hated to say it, the line was in trouble.

Hope noted that Ridge hadn't been gone for long, and Steffy's first order of business was to threaten Hope's line. Carter said it wasn't personal, but HFTF was falling short of projections. Hope reasoned that people hadn't seen the new line, but Steffy said they hadn't gotten calls about it. Carter determined that sales followed interest.

Hope defended her line, saying they'd known it would take time, and Hope had a whole new team. Carter said they'd hoped it would spark the campaign and get the attention of the press and young influencers. Steffy stated that time was running out. Hope asked for a moment alone with Steffy. Carter said he'd leave the report. Once Carter had gone, Hope said it was a nice try, but she wouldn't let Steffy get away with what she was trying to do.

Steffy asked if Hope wouldn't let her get away with running the company. Hope stated she didn't have to look at a spreadsheet to know that Steffy was just trying to mess with her. Steffy claimed to be doing her job. Hope was trying to do hers, too, but it was hard with the CEO out for her.

Steffy claimed they'd given the line time; however, orders were down, and costs were up. Steffy didn't think it would change. Hope said it was R.J. and Zende's first time working together, and Hope asked Steffy to give them a shot. Steffy replied that they might be better working on something else. Hope took that to mean she, not they, were the problem. She said it had always been the case, and Steffy wasn't being objective. Instead, Steffy was using her position to attack Hope through the line, which was a reflection of her. She refused to let Steffy destroy it.

At Bill's sprawling estate, Poppy lamented that her first encounter with Will hadn't gone anything like she'd hoped it would. "He'll cool off eventually," Bill said somewhat reassuringly. Luna and Poppy claimed to understand why Will had reacted the way he had. "Think about it: Walking into his childhood home and finding two strangers," Poppy remarked. Bill barked that Poppy and Luna were not strangers.

Bill insisted that Will would have to get used to the way things were. Poppy thought it would be best if she and Luna returned to their apartment. Bill didn't want Poppy and Luna to leave, but they convinced him that they'd have to return at some point to clear out their apartment before the building's scheduled demolition.

Aboard the private jet to Monaco, Ridge was disappointed that a lost passport had prevented Steffy from joining him and Brooke. Brooke wrapped her arms around Ridge and assured him that they'd still have a wonderful time. The pilot informed Brooke and Ridge that they would arrive ahead of schedule.

In Monte Carlo, Ridge and Brooke pulled up to the Casino de Monte-Carlo in a white convertible Porsche. "I'm all in betting on you, Logan," Ridge said.

Later, Brooke and Ridge looked out over the marina and shared a kiss.

In the executive suite at Forrester Creations, Finn tried to make Steffy feel better about missing the opportunity to go to Monaco. As they talked, Hope listened from the corridor outside. Hope eventually walked into the office and interrupted Finn and Steffy kissing. Finn said that he'd leave, but Hope told him that he did not have to go. Hope told Finn that she wanted to talk about Steffy's decision to cut funding to the Hope for the Future line.

As Steffy and Hope bickered over the decision, Finn voiced his understanding about why Hope was upset. Finn tried to make the two women see that their concerns were both valid. Hope mused that they should hire Finn as a "full-time referee." Steffy laughed. She then announced that Hope for the Future would not be scrapped, but it would be scaled back.

Katie was seated at the desk in the design studio when a knock sounded on the door. She called for the person to enter, but instead, another knock rapped on the door. Somewhat annoyed, Katie got up and answered the door. When she did, she was greeted by someone holding a large bouquet of flowers in front of their face. "Flowers for Miss Katie Logan Spencer," the disguised voice said. As a confused look crept across Katie's face, the delivery person lowered the flowers and revealed his face.

Katie was overjoyed to see Will. She wrapped her arms around her son and told him how glad she was to have him home. Will joined Katie in the design office, and she thanked him for the flowers. Will said that he'd bought the flowers after he'd visited Bill. "It didn't go so well. He was in bed. He wasn't alone," Will said. Katie understood that it had to have been "awkward" for Will.

Will nodded. He said that it was "so weird" seeing another woman in their house. He then shared that things had gotten even worse when Bill's "new daughter [came] in calling him 'Dad.'" Will told Katie that he didn't like that "new people" were taking over "our house." Katie wished Will's homecoming had been better.

"He spends one night with this Poppy lady, and decades later, she decides to come out of the woodwork with a daughter?" Will asked angrily. Will told Katie that he would not forgive or forget the way that Bill had disrespected her over the years. Will said that he wanted to return to Los Angeles permanently, if Katie wanted him there. "Of course, you're wanted! How could you even ask that?" Katie replied. Will wasn't so sure that Bill would feel the same way.

At Il Giardino, Deacon and Sheila shared a private moment alone. Sheila, recently released from police custody, told her husband that she was beginning to believe his theory that Tom and Hollis' deaths had not been accidents. She recalled her last encounter with Hollis and how she had brushed off his concerns about Tom's backpack.

Deacon tried to assuage Sheila's feelings of guilt by telling her that no one had had any reason to think that Tom's death had been anything other than a tragic overdose. Still, Sheila was certain that Tom's backpack could have been the key to unlocking what had happened.

Back at their apartment, Luna searched for her tablet while Poppy gathered some belongings in the bedroom. Luna noticed something hidden behind the sofa. She struggled for a moment before producing a backpack.

Luna opened the backpack and removed a hairbrush and some toothpaste. She put them aside and instead focused on a stack of letters. The letters were addressed to Poppy with a San Francisco address. The sender was Tom Starr with a Los Angeles-based Post Office box as the return address. Luna turned over one of the envelopes and noticed a yellow label from the postal service marked "RETURN TO SENDER. NO SUCH NUMBER. UNABLE TO FORWARD."

Luna removed one of the letters. "I have written you many times. Maybe you have moved on? But I will not move on from the thought of you. We shared something really special. Please don't pretend that I don't mean something to you too. I know you had a daughter named Luna. That is a beautiful name. I hope someday I can be in Luna's life," Tom wrote in the letter. At the end, Tom added "I know that I am Luna's father and I want to be in her life." The words "I am Luna's father" were underlined twice. He signed the letter "Forever Tom."

Luna moved on to a second letter. In the second letter, Tom told Poppy that he wanted to meet his daughter. Luna opened a third letter. In that letter, Tom told Poppy that it was difficult for him not to be around his daughter during the holidays.

Poppy returned to the living room and asked Luna was she was doing. Luna told her mother about the letters. Poppy asked Luna where she'd gotten them. After saying that she had found the backpack in the apartment, Luna said that Tom's letters claimed that he was her father. Luna said as she began to cry. She asked if Katie was right and if Poppy had killed Tom.
