In Eric’s office, Hope told Brooke that what Luna had done was unreal, and Hope was glad that Steffy was okay. Hope considered Finn a remarkable man for saving Steffy, but Brooke added that he was a remarkable husband. Hope noted that even when Steffy had run away, Finn had never given up on them or their relationship. Hope said Finn was a good man.

Rolling her eyes, Brooke asked if Hope’s feelings for Finn were re-emerging. Brooke reminded Hope that Hope had promised not to let it overtake her. Hope claimed she had it under control and felt terrible about it all. Brooke asked if Hope really felt terrible about kissing Finn.

Offended, Hope said she’d already expressed feeling terrible about it, and she’d put Finn in a horrible position. She had to respect Finn, as Steffy’s husband, from afar. Hope claimed Brooke had nothing to worry about, and neither did Steffy.

At the cliff house, Steffy looked on as Finn finished reading to Kelly and Hayes. Kelly was concerned because Finn had taken Steffy to work with him earlier. Steffy said she’d been dehydrated. Taylor and Ridge arrived. Ridge called Finn a hero, and Taylor said she loved Steffy and Finn. Ridge pinched Taylor’s knee as the kids hugged Finn and Steffy.

Later, the kids had gone to a playdate to keep their routines normal. The emotional Taylor hugged Steffy, wondering if Steffy was really okay after the traumatizing experience. Steffy insisted she was fine; however, Taylor persisted in talking about the psychological impact, and Ridge said that was what Taylor did. Steffy said she’d never thought she’d be back there.

Li and Poppy arrived. The morose Poppy introduced herself to Taylor. Turning to Steffy, Poppy said she was glad that Steffy was safe, and Poppy was deeply sorry for what Luna had done. Poppy stated that Steffy’s entire family had embraced her and Luna when they’d come to town.

Ridge said it had been his son most of all. Steffy asked how R.J. was doing. Ridge shared that his son was confused, hurt, and heartbroken. Poppy said she hadn’t known that Luna had been capable of the unspeakable things she’d done. Poppy took the blame for it, saying she’d failed Luna. Taylor stated that mothers could only do so much, and children made their own choices. Taylor hoped Luna could get the help she needed.

Poppy replied that none of it felt real, and she wanted to wake up from the nightmare. She had to believe that Luna would get the help she needed and that Poppy would have her daughter back. Ridge said that they all hoped Luna would get better. Ridge added that it was time to move on. Steffy said they had to for the kids. Finn added that his focus was on Steffy and the kids. Steffy and Finn expressed love for each other.

Alone, Steffy and Finn cuddled on the sofa. She said she’d called out his name, knowing he’d come. Finn was sorry and blamed Hope’s kiss for setting it all in motion. Finn never wanted to hurt Steffy again. Steffy believed that and knew how much Finn loved her. She said he’d saved her life. She didn’t know how he'd been there when she'd needed him most. She stated that he was truly her hero, and nothing had torn them apart. She stated that their love was strong and forever.

In the design office, Will guessed he’d picked a good time to return home. Katie agreed, saying his father would need him after losing the daughter he’d thought he’d gained. Katie and Will hugged, grateful that it hadn’t been worse and that Bill was safe. Katie said she’d missed the signs about Luna, and Finn had truly been a hero. Will asked how she felt about his father.

Will clarified that he didn’t need his parents to be together. He’d grown up and seen how Bill had treated her over the years. Katie said it had taken years, but she’d forgiven Bill. She believed he’d changed. Will asked if she wanted to take Bill back into her life. Katie said she’d always love and care for Bill, who’d given her Will. Will said she hadn’t forgiven Bill for Will’s sake.

Katie reasoned that she’d found something worth forgiving. She assumed that when she hadn’t taken Bill back, he’d figured out what he’d lost and how much he’d hurt her. She also thought Bill had felt a strain on his relationship with Will. Will asked if Bill had hit rock bottom. Katie, who wouldn’t go that far, reasoned that it had been like a wake-up call. Will noted that Katie still loved Bill and had fought to keep Bill safe. Will asked again if Katie wanted a life with his father.

Katie asked if Will was sure he wasn’t playing matchmaker. Will insisted that he just wanted his mother to be happy, and he said she deserved only the best. Katie was proud of her thoughtful and caring son, who’d gotten his strength and desire to protect his family from Bill. Will joked about wearing a tight shirt like Bill or donning a sword necklace. Katie said not the sword necklace. Glad to have her son home, she hugged Will.

At Bill’s house, Bill was stoic with Liam, but Liam urged Bill to admit how he was doing. Liam said that it was okay to have feelings. Bill questioned that, noting that the last time he’d opened up and been vulnerable, he’d been manipulated by a psychotic con artist. He’d loved having Luna around and being her father, but it hadn’t been real. Bill didn’t want to talk about it, think about it, or “feel” about it. He just wanted to move on.

Bill decided that he’d been too overjoyed about having a daughter, and it had tuned out his “Spency senses,” so he’d been unable to see what Luna had been up to. Liam asked if Bill was making it his fault. Liam added that no one but Katie had sensed anything off. Bill noted that Katie had been wrong about Poppy. Liam stated that the silver lining was that, no matter how dark things got, Katie would always be there for him.

Liam asked where things stood with Poppy and if there was a chance for Bill and Katie. Bill said he didn’t know what the future held.

Later, Bill was alone when Poppy arrived. She said she didn’t know what they were or where they stood with each other.
