Call it a love/hate relationship. Katrina Bowden is a well-liked actress. Her B&B character? Not so much.
Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have had a rocky relationship with Florence Fulton. That might be putting it mildly. When Flo first hit the screen in 2019, she was part of an illegal adoption plot that involved Hope Logan's supposedly dead child.
When a plot twist revealed that the late Stephen "Storm" Logan, Jr., was Flo's dad, Flo was given a second chance and reluctantly welcomed into the Logan family fold. Later, Flo ended up in a relationship with Wyatt Spencer, and the pair seemed headed for happily ever after... until Flo vanished.
Okay, Flo didn't really vanish vanish, but she stopped appearing on-screen. In story, Flo has been said to be off somewhere, traveling and handling business. Those out-of-town trips were more than likely necessitated by actress Katrina Bowden landing a bunch of non-daytime projects.
Flo's on-screen mom, Shauna, who is played by Denise Richards, has also been missing in action. Shauna made just a single appearance in 2022.
Could Flo or Shauna make a return to Los Angeles sometime in the near -- or even distant -- future? Yes, according to B&B's head writer and executive producer Brad Bell.
"In my mind, Shauna and Flo are 'out there,'" Bell recently told Soap Opera Digest. "I think the world of both actresses, and I'd love to plug them in... if they're available."
It should be noted that while Flo hasn't seen any airtime in nearly two years, Wyatt's on-screen time has also been limited recently. Bell states that Bill's involvement with Sheila will change that. Emmy winner Darin Brooks, who plays Wyatt, has already appeared in almost as many episodes over the past two months as he had in the previous twelve.
