Winsor Harmon removed from B&B opening credits

According to a popular reality series, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next... you're out. After nearly two decades, one of The Bold and the Beautiful's popular stars is out of the show's opening credits.

The Bold and the Beautiful debuted its updated opening credits earlier this week, and while a bunch of new faces were added -- Hello, Thomas, Nicole, and Zende! -- there was also one noticeable absence from the opening: Winsor Harmon's Thorne Forrester.

"I want to thank everyone for 17 Beautiful years playing Thorne," Harmon shared on Twitter. "I love you all. Thank U for the amazing run B&B you'll forever B a part of me."

Though his image may be gone and Harmon's Twitter message might sound like a goodbye, the actor will remain on recurring status with the CBS soap.

After a short-term run as Del Henry on All My Children, Harmon took on the role of Thorne Forrester in 1996. He remained on contract with B&B through 2010. Since that time, he's appeared on a recurring basis. Harmon was featured fairly prominently earlier this year when his on-screen daughter, Aly (Ashlyn Pearce), was killed off.

Would you like to see Thorne on-screen more often? Do you think keeping Thorne as recurring is a smart choice? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
