It's official: Adrienne Frantz returning to The Bold and the Beautiful

Adrienne Frantz is headed back to The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress was last seen on the show in 2005, but that's not the last time fans have seen her alter ego, Amber Moore. Frantz took her B&B role to The Young and the Restless in 2007. She made her final Y&R appearance earlier this month.

It's official. One month after Soap Central first reported that Emmy winner Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) would be heading back to The Bold and the Beautiful, a show spokesperson is now confirming that it's a done deal.

In April, it was revealed that Frantz would be leaving The Young and the Restless, the soap she'd called home for three and a half years. In November 2007, Frantz's alter ego, Amber, who'd debuted on The Bold and the Beautiful in July 1997, moved from the bustling city of Los Angeles to the bucolic town of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Fortunately, the change of scenery didn't change her scheming ways.

At about the same time that word of Frantz's Y&R exit became public, the actress reportedly took to her personal Twitter page to tell fans that she already had her next gig lined up.

"I will be going back to B&B!" Frantz informed fans. "I am very happy!"

There's just one problem: Frantz tells Michael Fairman that she does not have a Twitter account.

The Bold and the Beautiful apparently wasn't the only soap courting Frantz. TVGuide Magazine's Michael Logan reported that Frantz had been contacted by All My Children about taking over the role of Bianca Montgomery. That role has since been awarded to newcomer Christina Bennett Lind.

During her previous eight-year run on B&B, Frantz earned three Emmy nominations -- and an Outstanding Younger Actress win in 2001.

Frantz last appeared on The Young and the Restless on May 7, when her character left town for California. Frantz will return to the B&B studio -- which is just across the hall from her previous Y&R stomping grounds -- on May 18. Her first airdate is scheduled for July 1.
