On The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) relationship got tested and spiraled in the aftermath of the company coup. Has it collapsed for good? The fallout from the takeover of Forrester Creations has been wide-reaching, and if anything, it may have pushed Ridge into the arms of his ex-wife, Taylor (Rebecca Budig).
The comforts of home on The Bold and the Beautiful
Last week on B&B Ridge, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) hugged after Ridge arrived and announced to them both that he had left Brooke. Steffy offered to let him stay there, and Ridge looked happy to receive some comfort in the arms of people he loved.

On top of that, the teaser for the coming week shows the much-anticipated scene in a bedroom at the house where Ridge and Taylor are getting very close, and Ridge tells Taylor that he can see it now. Presumably, he is saying that he can see now that his mother was right about Brooke and that he truly belonged with Taylor, or he could be realizing what both Steffy and Taylor have been telling him for years: that all Brooke does is hurt him, and yet he keeps going back to her.
Preview photos make it look like a very close and tender scene. Not just a “there there” consoling hug at the foot of a bed. This looks like two people getting (perhaps) dangerously close and letting emotions guide them. The upcoming week's teaser also reveals that Brooke is right outside and calling out to Ridge that she needs to talk to him. Will she just walk in and see it for herself, burying any chance of reconciliation? Or would that snap Taylor out of getting caught up in the moment and make her wonder just what in the heck she is doing?
This might sound a little off-court, but will Taylor catch that rebound?
About two years ago, Brooke and Taylor made a pact that they would be strong, independent women (cue some Destiny’s Child “I’m a Survivor”), work on their friendship, and no longer fight over Ridge. That didn't last, and no one was more shocked than the fans and viewers, am I right? The back and forth continued, and here we are today, staring down the barrel of another go-around. Whether Taylor takes part in this or not is yet to be seen, but the rivalry is strong, and Taylor could use it as a chance to stick it to Brooke one more time, or she will spare us all from watching another train wreck play out.
Whether you want to see Tridge resurrected one more time or you want to see the Bridge repaired (or neither!), we can all agree the holiday season is surely making for some compelling watching.
