Eric (John McCook) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) are heartbroken over Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) betrayal. They considered him part of the family, and how he listened to Hope (Annika Noelle) and took away their family company is beyond them.

Eric and Ridge express their disappointment, but Taylor (Rebecca Budig) thinks there is an opportunity for Carter to turn the situation around. She explains that just like how Hope was able to influence the coup, someone else could reason with Carter to see the situation differently.

That “someone” could be Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire), who was brought in to seduce Carter, but the plan has now changed to be about appealing to his old self and getting him to feel guilty about the takeover. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Daphne visit the Forrester mansion and give an update on their plan. But will Steffy share that she thinks Brooke is like-minded about the coup?

Meanwhile, at Forrester, Will (Crew Morrow) and Electra (Laneya Grace) get to spend the day together, but it’s at work. The jewelry line is launching, and everyone is buzzing about it.

In the CEO’s office, they watch the launch on the screen and note whether or not it’s a success.

In the design office, Katie meets with Brooke and Zende. What is happening with Hope for the Future, or is Remy still an issue now that Electra’s face will be campaigned publicly again? Maybe Zende will hear something useful that the Forresters will need to know.

Brooke is still brokenhearted over Ridge. Her words to Carter seem to be resonating, though, and he seems to have the guilt of losing his best friend weighing on his heart. Carter turns to Hope for support. “I’m really having a hard time here,” he tells her, but she doesn’t understand his remorse. Carter is trying to find a way to have it all — work with the Forresters, and start with apologies. But when he suggests that Hope get on board with that plan, her heart turns cold. “You want me to apologize to Steffy and Ridge??” she asks. Doesn’t look like Carter will get Hope to see his perspective. Is this the first sign that the couple might not be as solid as Hope tells people they are?
