Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were adamant that they would not return to Forrester Creations to help Carter and Hope run the company.

They knew that Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was good at finances and business, but he did not know fashion. Also, when he pitched his expansion idea, it was obvious to Eric that Carter did not understand who Forrester was, and becoming a global luxury brand was not Eric’s vision for the company. The three Forresters believed that without them, Carter and Hope would fail.

However, they also assumed that Carter would be the CEO as he’d created the LLC to put himself in charge. Carter, however, saw it differently. He wanted to focus on the expansion while letting someone else handle the day-to-day operations. The person with experience was Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

The plan had been for Zende (Delon de Metz) to go back to Forrester and help keep it running successfully. Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) and Electra (Laneya Grace) were also supposed to be on the inside but kept out of the fray.

Meanwhile, Brooke is honored that Carter would consider her for the position of CEO at Forrester. However, as Hope points out, it would affect Brooke’s relationship with Ridge. Brooke thinks she could make Ridge understand that she was doing it to help Forrester succeed until this whole mess is sorted out. But part of her is still angry at Ridge, and the thought of getting her title back as CEO is awfully desirable. Brooke accepts the position but tells herself it’s to protect Eric and Ridge and the company they all love.

With Brooke in place, Carter is ready to make a bold announcement to the world. Katie, who has to deal with her son’s reaction to her firing his girlfriend, is the Head of PR and has to focus on launching the takeover as a good thing for the company, the family, and the industry.

Steffy, Ridge, Eric, and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) gather at Eric’s house. They tune in to a press conference and are shocked when Brooke announces her return as CEO of Forrester.

Now that Forrester has someone in charge who knows how the run the company effectively, the Forresters realize they need to change their game plan.

As for Ridge, he is blown away that Brooke would ever betray him the way he feels that she has.
