Last week, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) advised that everyone should focus on their responsibilities. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) backed that up and reminded Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) what his job actually was, and encouraged him to perform his duties, rather than spend all of his time trying to be Hope’s (Annika Noelle) champion.
Focusing on their responsibilities is easier for some than others. For Katie (Heather Tom), it’s a mix of business and personal. As Hope’s aunt, she has a lot to say about Steffy’s treatment of her niece. Professionally, however, she’s the Head of Public Relations at Forrester, and how she presents the situation to the public will have a big impact on how the information is received.
Hope has a huge following, and everyone has her on a pedestal. Will Katie be able to keep her there? Or will she drag Steffy down with her?
On Monday, Ridge, Steffy, and Katie discuss the fallout from Hope’s firing.
History repeats itself
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) isn’t happy about anything at the moment. She feels that Steffy attacked her daughter, and Ridge went along with it. Worse, Taylor (Rebecca Budig) was there when Hope was fired, and she doesn’t even work at Forrester.
Brooke thought that the way Hope was fired in front of employees and walked to the elevator was meant to shame her. She is already horrified that Ridge did nothing to stop it from happening. But did Taylor encourage Ridge and Steffy? Or did she try to get them to handle things in a better way?
Brooke believed Taylor when she said she didn’t come back to L.A. to interfere in Brooke’s life, but since arriving in town, Taylor has done exactly that — even if it wasn’t intentional. Every time Brooke turns around, Taylor is there.
