CBS announced today that it has renewed the daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful through the 2027-2028 television season. The renewal will bring the show through its 41st season.

The Bold and the Beautiful follows the entangled lives, passionate loves, and high-stakes dramas of the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families, set against the backdrop of the glamorous Los Angeles fashion world and the family’s fashion house, Forrester Creations. The series debuted on CBS on March 23, 1987.

B&B is part of the top-rated CBS Daytime lineup, along with its sister show, The Young and the Restless, and CBS’s newest sudser, Beyond the Gates, which debuted in February. With seven days of multiplatform viewing, the program averages nearly 3.2 million viewers. Streaming of the series on Paramount+ is up by +8% YoY.

The Bold and the Beautiful is broadcast on weekdays (1:30-2:00 pm, ET/12:30-1:00 pm, PT) on the CBS Television Network. Full episode streaming of the series is available on Paramount+ and CBS TVE. Currently in its 38th season, B&B is the sister show to CBS’s other staple soap, The Young and the Restless. Both shows were created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell; their son Bradley Bell is now B&B's executive producer and head writer.

B&B’s 38th Anniversary

The Bold and the Beautiful recently celebrated its 38th anniversary this year. In its first episode, which aired on March 23, 1987, there were two actors who are still on the show today: John McCook, who plays Eric Forrester, and Katherine Kelly Lang, B&B’s Brooke Logan.

The hit soap has maintained its status as one of the top sudsers on TV and has international audiences as it airs in several languages and countries around the world. B&B has posted links on its YouTube channel for previous seasons, going right back to the beginning for nostalgic fans or newer viewers who would like to catch up on the full history of the show.

In the first episode, Eric was insulted when Ridge told him that his new fashion line at Forrester Creations lacked sex appeal; Bill Spencer Sr. wanted Ridge to break up with Caroline, but he proposed to her instead; and Brooke was attacked by two men on campus.
