At Bill’s, Luna fussed with her ankle bracelet as she puttered around and looked at a picture of Will on the mantle. She smirked to herself that if only Poppy knew where she was at that moment. Luna sat down and then flipped through a magazine. In it was a flyer about Tom Starr. “I’ll never believe you’re my father,” Luna said.
At Il Giardino, Poppy thought about how she lied to Finn about being Luna’s father. Li came in and told her that she had come as soon as she could and was surprised to hear from her. Li told her again how wrong she had been with her accusations and hoped Poppy could forgive her one day.. She could tell Poppy was distressed and asked why she wanted to see her.
Poppy couldn’t get Finn off her mind but told Li that Luna was missing. Poppy explained what happened when she went to the prison. Li offered to go talk to them instead, but Poppy said they wouldn’t tell her any more than they had told her. Finn called and asked Poppy to come immediately. Poppy made an excuse to Li that she had to leave. Li was surprisingly understanding but wanted to apologize again for her accusations before leaving. She told her sister that she should have known better and that she wouldn’t have betrayed her in her own home.
In the design office, Hope told Steffy she had been burned by her too many times and wouldn’t let it happen again. Hope told Steffy that there had been changes and she was no longer her scapegoat. “Thanks to Carter. Your partner in crime,” Steffy retorted.

Hope implied that Steffy had only gotten where she was because of her last name but agreed she had made a few positive contributions to the company over the years. She then reminded Steffy that the Forresters no longer ran the company and that she and her family did. Zende interrupted, and Hope told him she was just showing Steffy his designs. “I think Hope for the Future is going to continue to thrive with your talent and Carter’s leadership,” Hope gushed.
Hope fawned over Zende about going above and beyond. “You’re invaluable to all of us,” Steffy agreed. Hope left, and Steffy admitted Hope was getting to her. Zende and Steffy talked about Operation: Carter Walton and how he wouldn’t be in charge much longer.
Steffy told Zende that drastic times called for drastic measures. She thought that Carter and Hope were making risky moves that weren’t strategic. She couldn’t wait months for Justin to figure out a legal route to take. In the meantime, Hope was getting more arrogant. “Not only does she want to lead Hope for the Future, she wants to be in on all of the business decisions,” Steffy noted. Zende added that Carter seemed more than willing to let Hope. He wished Steffy would let him in a little about what her plan was to get the company back. Steffy said that all she could say was if the plan continued how it had been, Hope and Carter would never “smell” what was coming.
In the CEO’s office, Carter told Daphne he was having a hard time concentrating. She put her arm around him and told him she understood that her scent could make him lose himself. She set down the file they were working on and told him they could look at that later. He wondered what brought her to Forrester.
Daphne mysteriously told Carter that she never explained herself. She told him she came there for one reason but wouldn’t say what it was. Carter asked which fragrance they should launch first. Daphne seductively walked over to her purse and pulled out two perfume bottles. She tossed her hair back and sprayed one on either side of her neck. “Choose,” she told Carter, who was mesmerized by her every move.
Carter walked up to Daphne, smiling, “You want me to choose?” he flirted. “It’s up to you. I belong to you now,” Daphne cooed. Carter gently brushed Daphne’s hair back and leaned in to breathe in the fragrance. He paused to stare into her eyes before moving to do the same on the other side of her neck. He put his hand on her back and pulled her in a little as he leaned in to her neck again. But this time, Hope walked in and saw.
Hope caught Carter mid-sniff and asked what was going on. Taken aback, Carter told her he was trying to figure out which fragrance to launch first.
“This can’t be right,” Finn told himself in his office. He got the test kit back out and decided to do another test. He held up the results and grimaced. Poppy came in and told him that she needed to say something before he could speak. She realized that he would have a lot of questions after finding out Tom Starr wasn’t Luna’s father. Poppy said that there was nothing wrong with what they shared, and it was beautiful and special. She hoped that Finn regarded their moment the same way but said that it was all that it could be — a magical memory. She said they both moved on with their lives and pointed out his life and all he had accomplished. “I have a chance to patch things up with my sister, but that can’t happen if you keep thinking about that night,” Poppy said. She pleaded with him to quit asking questions and didn’t want anyone to find out about that night. Finn didn’t say anything, he just pulled out the test and laid it on his desk. “What is that?” Poppy cried. Finn told her she knew what it was. “A paternity test? I already told you there is no way that Luna is your daughter,” Poppy told him. She asked him to drop it. Finn said that she promised to be honest, and he trusted that she would never make him regret that night they shared. “And I never did until you lied to me. Luna isn’t my cousin. She’s my daughter. I’m…the father,” Finn said.
