Laneya Grace’s movie, 72 Hours, was released in cinemas on November 1st, 2024, and is currently available on Apple TV and Amazon. The movie follows Sebastian (James Trammell), an FBI agent, and his brother Alex (Cam Gigandet), a money launderer for Tye Revello (Pierson Fode).
Sebastian has no idea that his brother Alex is involved in some seriously shady business for some people. Sebastian gets a lead on a huge money laundering deal and immediately gets a team ready to intercept. When Sebastian sees his brother, he strays from the path and lets his brother escape so as not to get him locked up. Just when things couldn't get any worse, Alex discovers that his daughter, Christina (Laneya Grace), has been kidnapped, and he must turn himself in to Tye within 72 hours to save his daughter. Sebastian and Alex must set aside their differences and accomplish the impossible, stage a rescue deep within Kingpin territory, and save his daughter.
Familiar Faces
A quick look at the cast list of 72 Hours shows a few familiar faces. Alex James is played by Cam Gigandet, a fan favorite of the much acclaimed Twilight series of movies, and played the vampire James and is a major protagonist. He was also in a martial arts/action movie, Never Back Down. Jana Kramer, who plays Anita James, is more well known to us because of her role as Alex Dupre on the hit show One Tree Hill. Pierson Fode, the movie's main villain, rose to popularity after the global success of his movie The Man from Toronto, where he starred opposite Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson. Sports fans may even notice that the character Vincent is played by Vernon Davis, the legendary tight end who played for the San Francisco 49ers.
The trailer looks action-packed and promises to deliver some edge-of-the-seat moments. Will Laneya Grace's character get rescued, or will her father be too late? Can the two brothers work together for their family's sake? Go to Apple TV or Amazon Prime, get your popcorn ready, dim the lights, and hold on.
