In 2024, Jamison Belushi began making appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful as the newest hospital lab technician, April. Her debut was with Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Li (Naomi Matsuda) as part of the storyline when Luna (Lisa Yamada) killed Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers).

If Jamison’s name sounds familiar, yes, she is the daughter of actor Jim Belushi, and the niece of the late John Belushi. While she may have been new to soaps, the young actress was not foreign to the camera. She began her acting career in 2005, appearing on her dad’s show, According to Jim. More recently, she was in The Last Summer, The Glue Factory, and Hotel for the Holidays.
Jamison Belushi is a talented singer
It turns out the young actress is quite a talented singer. In 2024, Jamison joined her dad on stage, delighting fans not only with the family ties but with her performances when she debuted with the Blues Brothers last spring. Jim took the role that his brother John so famously played, entertaining the cult following the film created.
In the summer, Jamison performed at Blues Brothers Con at Old Joliet Prison, an event her dad and Dan Ackroyd have celebrated for years. “You were super amazing on stage!!! You made the Blues Brothers Con so much better with your singing, and I hope you will perform again at the next one!!!” stephenh_harms commented enthusiastically. “Dats my sister!” Jared Belushi added proudly.
Friends and family praised Jamison’s performances. In addition to singing with her famous dad, she also brought down the house on her ow, with many commenting that she was amazing and a “showstopper.” Daniel_noname454 added, “To sing Etta James’s most iconic song and OWN it! Wow! If she went on tour, I would buy tickets. If she put out an album, I would buy it. Nice job, Jamison!”

Last fall, Jamison Belushi announced on Instagram that she had moved to Nashville (presumably to pursue her singing career) and shared a video of her singing a song that she loved. This past weekend, Thayne Media shared a video of Jamison singing at The Late Great speakeasy in Nashville. Her dad, Jim Belushi, was the first to like the post.
