On The Bold and the Beautiful, Jack Finnegan made his much-anticipated return to our screens, but he didn't get the reaction he thought he would.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Sex, Lies but no video tape
Jack (Ted King) was summoned to L.A. by his ex-wife, Li (Naomi Matsuda), but when he arrived at her office, he found himself walking into an already brewing maelstrom of accusations and hostility. Li was right in the middle of accusing her sister Poppy (Romy Park) of having an affair with Jack and that Jack was actually the father of Luna (Lisa Yamada) — a secret that, if found to be true, will change things forever.

Ted King did an interview with TV Insider and discussed his return. According to King, Jack is returning to L.A. feeling hopeful that he can patch things up with Li and put their marriage back on track. He’s excited and very much looking forward to hearing Li say the words, “I forgive you. Let's get back together” — but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Cut the crap, Jack
In his first scene back on The Bold and the Beautiful, Jack walks into Li’s office, but before he can say more than hello, he is told to “cut the crap.” Poppy is there as well and it goes further downhill when he realizes he is being accused of sleeping with Poppy and being the paternal father of Luna. Even though Jack was unfaithful and conceived Finn (Tanner Novlan) with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), he claimed he was remorseful and changed his ways. Now, Jack’s being accused of doing it again and with Li’s sister. King said, “Even if you're guilty once, it doesn’t mean you’re guilty twice. And it’s amazing how indignant you can become.”
King teased that the scenes we are about to see this week become “very intense” and it was a rush to shoot. The show needed to sort out how they would portray the characters with their integrity preserved. The actors were tasked with staying true to their characters and how they would be reacting. After an affair with Sheila and the lies and secrets that it caused, there can’t be much integrity in the other sense. In the interview, King reveals that Li, being a doctor, uses her tools of the trade to get to the truth of the matter. “She literally stabs Jack to draw his blood. The three of us are talking while it's all going on,” King divulged. King also shared how the wardrobe department had to figure out what type of jackets Jack could wear that could facilitate a needle stabbing.
“Jack can’t be wearing a suit jacket because it won’t pull up on his arm fast enough, because she rips up his sleeve and shoves a needle into his vein. How do you do that quickly? It’s not that simple, so we had to figure all that out in rehearsal beforehand in one of our dressing rooms,” King explained.
What happens next on The Bold and the Beautiful
King said the paternity test results will be revealed on Friday, January 24th, and he has some high praise for the drama coming to our screens.
Will the results be another love child for Jack? Or will Li still have no answers to her burning question? Do you have a theory? Spill it in the comments below.
