The Bold and the Beautiful has captured our hearts and minds for many years, yet many fans are wondering if our beloved show is ending.
The Bold and the Beautiful will continue
No. Our favorite soap first aired in 1987. Let that sink in for a moment — that was 37 years ago! It’s crazy that The Bold and the Beautiful has been a fixture of our lives and screens for that long. Do you remember when you first started watching? What was it that first drew you to it? For many, it was a sister show to one that was already a fan favorite, The Young and the Restless, which harks back to an even earlier date, March 26th, 1973.

Many of us started watching B&B because it was just on, our family watched it, or one of our parents did, and we’d hear the conversations on the couch, at the dining table, or in the car. Who just did what? No way that can't be right, etc. Inevitably, those conversations would draw us in. We needed to see it for ourselves and join in the conversation. Is this the earliest examples of FOMO? The Fear Of Missing Out is very real, and soon, we were hooked, too.
The show must go on…and on
The Bold and the Beautiful is not ending. Perhaps with the new CBS sudser, Beyond the Gates, starting next month, some wondered if that will affect B&B (but it’s not). The brutal L.A. fires notwithstanding, CBS has stated that B&B is scheduled to run through the 2024-2025 television season and has also renewed the show for an additional option year, giving them the option of a third season, which should delight fans and viewers alike.
In fact, The Bold and the Beautiful is the most-watched U.S. soap in the world. The show is aired in over 100 countries, and about 300 million people tune in daily for their fix. The effect these unprecedented fires will have on the actors and the crew working tirelessly behind the scenes has yet to be seen, and we continue to keep them all in our thoughts.
Currently, John McCook, who plays Eric Forrester, and Katherine Kelly Lang, who plays Brooke Logan, are the only original cast members left, as many moved on to pursue new roles elsewhere or simply left as their characters' storylines concluded. Forrester Creations is in strife, and the two aforementioned characters are at odds. Eric Forrester is watching his legacy in tatters with no clue how this will be resolved or if he will ever see FC back being controlled by his family. Brooke Logan, on the other hand, is the new CEO of Forrester Creations, and her daughter Hope (Annika Noelle) and her boyfriend Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) are running the place. The only hope right now (pun fully intended) for Eric is that Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) daughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has announced she has a cunning plan to take back the company. She's not told her family the plan's details yet, but we know now that it consists of undermining Hope and Carter and attacking their relationship.
With B&B continuing in the foreseeable future, we will be treated to much more drama as the Forrester vs Logan war rages on. How long have you been watching? And who got you hooked on the show? Share it in the comments!
