Murielle Hilaire's Daphne Rose shakes up Carter and Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) made a huge name for themselves when they revealed they were romantically involved, mutual sympathizers of the Forrester vs. Logan war, and that they’d teamed up to takeover Forrester Creations — and not necessarily in that order.

They’ve caused chaos amongst their family and friends and possibly irreparable damage not only in their own relationships with others but for the people they were championing. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) broke up, Taylor (Rebecca Budig) could have her broken heart syndrome reactivated, and Katie’s (Heather Tom) relationship with her son, Will (Crew Morrow), is about to be tested — but they might not be the only ones.

In a fairly new relationship, Hope and Carter claim to be in love and solid ride-or-dies for one another. But that may or may not be the case when the novelties wear off, and there are other temptations, namely, Daphne Rose.

Will they Cope on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Carter and Hope have been in their own little bubble, solely focused on one another and doing whatever it takes to make the other happy. But taking over a company is no small task, and Carter has his own agenda: He wants to “turn Forrester into a global luxury brand through mergers and acquisitions.”

To do that, he needs to focus on expansion. He’s set up a team to help make it happen and will be working on that. Meanwhile, he’s appointed Brooke as CEO to run the day-to-day operations of Forrester Creations, and Hope has been reinstated at the company. However, her line, Hope for the Future, was flailing all year, and although Carter asked Hope to be a valuable member of his expansion team, if she wants HFTF to succeed, her focus will need to be on rebuilding her line.

That leaves just the right amount of distance between the inseparable pair for someone else to squeeze in. On January 7, 2025, viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful will meet Daphne Rose, played by Murielle Hilaire.

Annika Noelle (Hope) shared the news with TV Insider. “I am so excited for this character. They take their time with her introduction and it’s a really fresh character that’s bringing something dynamic. I have had so much fun playing these scenes. I’m also really excited to have someone to practice my French with because she is a fluent French speaker and she’s an incredibly talented actress and I’m so excited to have her on board,” Noelle said.

Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) added, “With Daphne coming in, it’s another one of those page-turners. It’s just so much fun how the story continues to evolve and transition, and Murielle is so fantastic, and she has such an amazing energy.”

How Murielle is introduced hasn’t yet been confirmed. But on Friday, December 27, French actress Elsa Esnoult will reprise her role as Fanny Greyson and has a perfume line to pitch. That is exactly the type of product that Carter has been wanting to have under his new Forrester umbrella of luxury products and could offer the introduction to Daphne.

How exactly Daphne will affect Hope and Carter’s relationship remains to be seen. Noelle anticipates the couple finding out “how they deal with things maybe not necessarily working out according to plan.” “We haven’t really tested their mettle. I do think they are in a little bit of this, ‘Us against the world’ kind of mentality and they might be a little oblivious to the chaos they’ve caused around them. But we’re just getting started with Hope and Carter, so I’m very curious to see if it really is a power couple that can withstand the test of time,” Noelle told TV Insider.
