On The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) shocked the Forresters — and fans — several times this fall. Not only did they have a secret relationship that seemed to bloom overnight, but they teamed up and took over Forrester Creations after mere days of thinking of doing it.
Now, Annika Noelle and Lawrence Saint-Victor are talking about their roles, what they did, and what we can expect them to do next.

In an interview with TV Insider, actors Annika Noelle and Lawrence Saint-Victor discussed the sudden emergence of a powerful relationship that no one saw coming: Hope Logan and Carter Walton. Saint-Victor shared that they didn’t know the future of the pair, either. “What’s amazing about the story is that as it unfolded for the viewers, it unfolded for us,” said Saint-Victor.
The actors explained that they didn’t know how far the characters would go with one another as a couple or for the takeover of Forrester Creations. As they read the scripts, they realized they were actually going through with the coup. Noelle explained the reasoning behind their characters, which was on par with what Hope had been telling everyone. Saint-Victor added, “Hope and Carter are good people. They do have a moral compass, but there are a lot of factors that are triggering traumas and all kinds of pain.”
Most of the other characters on The Bold and the Beautiful do not condone taking over the company. Hope and Carter are even closer because of it. But the characters came together quickly to be this much in love and to be so…bold…about their power move at Forrester. “I saw fans say, ‘We didn’t get the slow burn of the first date,’ and that is true. But usually when people know each other for 10 years and start getting intimate, you kind of speed up to the finish line of it,” Saint-Victor explained.
Head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell agreed by stating to TV Insider, “There’s nothing I love more than taking established characters who have never really crossed in a romantic way and bringing them together. They have an appreciation for one another already and you don’t have to build the foundation and lay all the groundwork. We know who they are, and in this case, they have common ground in Forrester Creations. Hope is championing Carter’s vision for the future, so there’s lots of controversy in the air.”
Hope and Carter may be on top of the world at the moment — or, at least, at the top of Forrester Creations — but there may be some hiccups to their plans in the near future. Until then, they have some stormy waters to navigate personally as their actions are causing other relationships to fall apart, and it won’t be all smooth sailing at work, either, as the Forresters strategize to get back control of their company.
