On The Bold and the Beautiful, words have been said, and lines have been crossed, and it's hard to see how Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will be able to reconcile the heated exchange they had at Brooke's mansion.
The two had just left the CEO’s office after Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope (Annika Noelle) had taken control of Forrester Creations. At the office, Brooke was shocked when Ridge raged at Hope and called her "a nasty little bitch."

Of course, this wasn't what Brooke wanted to hear her daughter get called, let alone in a room full of people and by the man she loves. Later at home, Brooke let her feelings be known, but Ridge doubled down — and called Hope "a worthless slut."
Lacking remorse about his name-calling, Ridge vowed to stop Hope once and for all and drew a line in the sand. He said there was no way he would live under the same roof as Hope and challenged Brooke to pick a side. Brooke defended Hope, and Ridge walked out.
While Brooke had said what Carter did was wrong, she defended Hope and the coup by claiming that Ridge and Steffy brought it upon themselves. Brooke’s mind was blown at Ridge disparaging her daughter so viciously. Ridge couldn't wrap his head around Brooke's justification for the takeover.
Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge, explained to TV Insider how he felt about the scenes. “I tried to play it where it comes out of the frustration of the moment, but it’s still not a nice thing to say about someone’s kid,” Kaye said.
Thorsten Kaye on where Bridge goes from here
When asked by TV Insider about the state of Ridge and Brooke’s relationship, actor Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) weighed in. “I think these two love each other, but at this point, maybe it’s not really the issue here,” he said. Ridge and Brooke are realizing that they couldn’t be further apart on some issues.
As for a future with Taylor, the actor gave some insight into Ridge’s mindset. “Something happens where he feels he’s betrayed by the woman that he loves and feels that he never knew her at all. And there’s this other woman who is always honest with him, who doesn’t have kids with his brother and his dad, and maybe she was always the right choice,” Kaye added.
Home is where the heart is
After the heated exchange at Brookes’ mansion, Ridge went to see his daughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and his ex, Taylor (Rebecca Budig). Ridge told them that he’d left Brooke, and the two looked stunned. Steffy said she was sorry and knew he must be hurting and blamed the Logans for causing the pain.
Ridge came looking for something he wasn’t getting at home — comfort after having his heart ripped out. He’d been betrayed by his best friend and his sometimes-step-daughter, and, as he told Brooke, it had completely broken him. Taylor and Steffy gave him the (group) hug he needed.
It's hard to imagine Brooke and Ridge ever being truly over (they've been married eight times), but it's even harder to imagine any hope for reconciliation until this coup is well and truly buried. Until Forrester Creations is back under the Forresters' control, Ridge has only one goal.
As Ridge said to Brooke, “I'm going to do whatever it takes to stop Hope, once and for all.” Is this the end of Bridge?
