On The Bold and the Beautiful next week, Eric’s secret plotting is revealed, causing a lot of mixed emotions, but also a lot of hurt.
What to expect on The Bold and the Beautiful
It was no surprise to Eric (John McCook) when Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) told him last week that she still loved Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). However, it was a bit of a surprise to viewers that Eric went from understanding and agreeing with putting the Brooke and Ridge cycle out to pasture, was now on track to cross that Bridge yet again.
At some point unbeknownst to viewers, Eric had changed his mind about being happy about Ridge and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) reuniting, and secretly plotted to do what he could to help Brooke get her destiny back. He told Brooke he just couldn’t understand why she and Ridge were apart. Of course, Brooke agreed.
With the help of Katie (Heather Tom) and Donna (Jennifer Gareis), Eric planned to have Brooke wear the showstopper outfit at the end of the Forrester Creations fashion show. The gown was similar in design to Brooke’s wedding dress from when she and Ridge married in Portofino, Italy, and she arrived at the altar by boat. Eric replayed the video for Brooke and noted that he was hoping that by seeing Brooke walk the runway in the dress, it would remind Ridge of their love … and their destiny.

Eric tried to give Ridge a nudge to put a little bug in his ear about Brooke and get the ball rolling but nothing he said seemed to be enough to get Ridge to change his mind about being with Taylor. But when Ridge saw Brooke on stage, he couldn’t stop smiling at her. Taylor and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) watched in horror from the sidelines but on Monday, they find out that the showstopper was meant for Brooke all along. Ridge didn’t know the plot to break up him and Taylor, and get him back with Brooke, and he is none too pleased at the deception, but also confused by the sudden support. On Tuesday, Ridge confirms with his dad that he really was the one behind the plot, but finds himself torn. On Wednesday, can a visit with a mystery woman help Ridge sort out his thoughts and feelings?
